Good self catering apts

Reviewed 9 Jun 2014

Can’t think of anything that would make these apartments better. We were a group of 7 staying in 2 separate apartments; they were just about big enough for 4 people each. Sleeping arrangements worked fine, there was one room with 2 beds and then a sofa and pull out bed.
We were in the self catering section and cooked for ourselves all week, there’s a shop nearby where you can pick up food and drink.
The location of the actual apartments is really handy as it’s only an easy 5 minute walk to get to the slopes.

Nothing bad to say really

Reviewed 6 May 2014

The hotel itself caters for lots of school parties, and they did give us some vouchers to use in the canteen but we didn’t use them (think of the queue for the Next sale at 6 in the morning... and times that by 60!).
They’re cheap and cheerful but they had all the amenities you needed. The apartments are clean and well appointed, with a central location to all the slopes and a good cooking section.
You can either eat out – there are plenty of good restaurants in town – or you can cook for yourself. We cooked in the apartment all week – there are plenty of supermarkets in town and one in the actual hotel, so you can either pick up some food when you get off the slopes or nip down and get it. We had a good week – it was fun all round.
It’s about a 300m walk uphill to the main part of town (whichever way you go), but if you’re fit enough to ski it’s no problem at all! To get back you literally unclip your skis and cross the road.
Ours had two single beds in the living area and one double in the main bedroom. We also had a shower instead of a bath.

Very, very nice apartment

Reviewed 6 May 2014

We had a brilliant time, loved the apartment which was very clean and quite modern, all the facilities were great and you had everything you needed. The apartments are much nicer than your normal ski apartment, which can sometimes be really small and basic.
They had a supermarket in the actual apartment building which was great.
I don’t know if the owners of the apartments are still doing it, but we got 2 meal vouchers for a couple of free meals in the restaurant. We really enjoyed them and it was a good way to save money on 2 nights! The restaurant is very busy and very Italian and the food was lovely (kind of a buffet set up).
We were really close to the slopes which was handy for getting across to Sansicario and Sauze as its near the main lift that takes you there. You’re not far from the bars and restaurants either so you’re really in a top location.
The only thing I would change: they were done up after the Olympics which was a while back now and they’re probably need of being updated.
Apart from this they were brilliant and I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

Not luxurious but lots of room, food plentiful, service ok, downstairs wine bar a delight

Reviewed 30 Dec 2011

I will try to put some thoughts down for you. Accommodation was pretty good. It wasn’t luxurious by any stretch, but for a ski resort there was tons of room. I’m used to chalet accommodation where you get something of a box room for two people, but we had a spacious bedroom and a large living area. Very impressive. The food was plentiful, and sometimes due to the nature of mass catering it didn’t quite live up to the expectation but there were always plenty of alternatives if you didn’t like one of the options. The pizza's were excellent!! Service at the hotel was ok - a little haphazard sometimes and the hotel is a large sprawl that can be difficult to orientate yourself around. However the downstairs wine bar was a delight, with excellent service, great and reasonably priced wines and some excellent little nibbles always included on the side.
