Nice hotel & friendly owners

The holiday was great; the hotel is really nice with very friendly owners. The hotel is run by an Austrian mother and son and the dad did the cooking. The food was good and there was plenty of it – they do a continental breakfast in the mornings with croissants, cheese, ham, bread, jam, cereals and yoghurts and in the evening they had a salad bar every night and different main courses and puddings. We shared tables with other guests and often sat with some other girls so we made some friends which was nice.
Our room was a twin and had an en-suite. There was plenty of space as we packed our skis and boots in the garage and only had to take helmets and stuff up. It would have been nice to have a TV but I packed my lap top anyway so we could watch DVD’s in the evening.
To get to the slopes from the hotel is probably a 5-10 minute walk along a footbath with skis; we could actually ski along it at the beginning of the week as the snow was good. It’s a bit outside the town so getting to the bars and restaurants takes around 15 minutes.
The owner (Freddie) offered a tour of Innsbruck if you wanted a day off skiing, where you could explore the town and see the Zoo, but we didn’t do this. They also did an Austrian music evening where the lady played the harp and people played other instruments, which was really sweet.
I don’t know if it would be a good place for families as there weren’t any children there when we stayed. It’s probably best for couples of all ages and small groups, I wouldn’t say it’s a good place for big groups of young people as it’s probably too quiet.
