2 reviews of Hotel Bechlwirt in Kirchberg, Austria.

We had a very good holiday. The hotel was nice enough, we had good access to the bus and gondola, pleasant staff and everything was very clean. The only downside was that the corridor outside our room was tiled, so you could really hear people coming and going (including a middle of the night departure on our first night, when their luggage was put outside our door). The other thing, which you often get in Austria, is that the bar was very smoky. These issues aside, it was generally a very nice hotel.
The food was very nice, I’m a vegetarian and sometimes in Austria all you get is cheese, but they really tried here and were very inventive with my meals.

The hotel is centrally situated in Kirchberg, 80m from the ski bus stop for the lifts, buses run throughout the day & are very frequent at peak times. The hotel is a good budget option, rooms are large & comfortable. Meals whilst limited in choice are well cooked & presented. Typically there is a breakfast buffet with bread, meat, cheeses, jams, cereals, fruit etc, evening meal is typically salad buffet, soup course, 3 choices of main (including a vegetarian option) & a dessert. If you should want a change there is also an a-la-carte restaurant in the hotel. Additional facilities include a sauna & stube (bar), be warned that as in much of Austria, that smoking is permitted in the stube. Staff in the hotel were friendly & very efficient.
