Half term in La Tania

Reviewed 6 Jun 2016

Great time staying here! The apartment was fine and perfect for us. It was functional, and in a good spot very close to the slopes so it was easy. La Tania is great because everything is there so it’s easy to get around! It was obviously quite busy being half term but actually it wasn’t bad at all. One thing that wasn’t so great was the Wi-Fi access which could definitely be improved. Otherwise I would highly recommend these apartments.

Wonderful holiday & my notes to improve rep/service

Reviewed 28 Jan 2014

Just to let you know we had a wonderful holiday, just a few comments you need to pass onto the hosts/reps. The train was great, transfers smooth and easy. However we were dropped in resort around 6:30am and after the rep had sold us lift passes and put out luggage in storage, he left us in the cold. He told us to walk round the small town and get a coffee in one of the bars. Nothing opens till 8am! We had no toilet to use or anywhere warm to sit. Just the cold un heated passage way next to the bag room. We had to change one couple at a time in the baggage room into snow gear to keep warm, and finally at 8am the shop opened to get a drink. At 8:30am first bar opened so we could use a toilet. This should all be pre warned to arriving customers. It should be suggested that guests use the toilets at the train stations, and get a drink there before heading to resort. Or we should be allowed to sit in one of the early departure guests rooms. Luckily we were three easy young couples and used our initiative to get into ski gear to keep warm. Our room was also not ready till 6pm. So we then had to wait in our damp ski gear in a bar to 6pm. Surely our rooms should have been the first ready as they new we were the first to arrive? I understand its change over day and they are very busy, but I have worked in the hotel business for many years, and we should have been given priority to the first rooms ready. The lift was also broken on two consecutive mornings with out any notice so after wasting time waiting for a lift that didnt come we had to walk down 9 flights of stairs in ski gear. A notice on the lift telling us it wasnt working would have been helpful. There was also an evening with no hot water as the buildings boiler broke. I would however still do the night train again, as to me the 8 days of skiing makes it worth it, but at least now I am prepared for what to expect when arriving on resort and would probably change into ski gear on the train to keep warm and use a toilet at the station. Regards, Michelle.
