I stayed in neighbouring Chalet Perce Neige but had a look around Chalet Les Lauzes. The accommodation is basic; it's cosy and traditional with wood panelling. There's a small sauna, but the best thing is simply the location. It's truly ski in/ski out, the E.S.F. lesson meeting point is opposite the front door and it's still only 200m from the centre. If you want a chalet with an unbeatable location, great food and wine and at an affordable price, Chalet Les Lauzes is an excellent choice!

There were 12 of us in the chalet and the general consensus was that the chalet wasn’t very good – it was pretty shabby and really small with no TV or anything like that. Rooms had dim lighting and the ventilation wasn’t very good. The food was fine and the ski in, ski out location couldn’t have been easier. The chalet was also right next to the high street if you needed anything.

This cosy traditional pine walled chalet is light and airy, tucked right into the slope side, meaning you are virtually skiing right out the door. If you are not skiing out of the front door, then you're only a 2 minute walk to Avoriaz village centre where you can experience the lively après ski it has to offer. This chalet has excellent hosts who dish up delicious food served with good wine. If you want to be on the piste in a high car-free resort, you'll not find better.
