Absolutely great week! The food was good, the staff were very friendly and the people there were nice. As a single traveller I was made to feel really welcome. My room was nice and clean, not massive but what more do you expect! It was nice to have a swimming pool and in terms of the location, if you were an established skier you could almost ski back to the door: there was hardly any walking and I snowboard so that was easy anyway. The transfers were good too.

It was pretty good overall, but the chalet guys seemed quite stretched and worn out. The chalet could have probably done with a good clean (simple things like the stairway up to where we all ate, which clearly hadn’t been cleaned for a while). It seemed the management had totally left the hosts to it without much guidance. Apparently the hosts weren’t told who was coming until the morning we arrived so didn’t know who they were catering for – they were running out of things like toilet roll and bacon and didn’t know what to do about it. Despite this they were really welcoming and did really well, the food was incredible.
It isn’t ski in, ski out – we had a five minute walk down a hill and then a steep uphill walk on the way back. I’m a boarder so it didn’t affect me much, but my family are skiers and struggled in ski boots. You would have to be really advanced to ski in / out - the chalet’s right at the top of the hill with the wooden avalanche thing behind, which you’d have to ski around.
Our bedroom was pretty standard, we had a wardrobe but you normally get a chair or table too which are useful for putting stuff on (with skiing you end up with so much stuff!). We didn’t have anything like this and couldn’t hang our coats up.
Upstairs, the covers of the sofas etc could have done with a wash.
All in all, the hosts were very nice and the food was great, but they just needed more help from the next level up.

Very good stay here last year – actually going back this year, already re-booked! The property really stood out for me as it’s one of the only places that sleeps 26. The transfers were good and chalet was as expected: comprehensive service, chalet staff were brilliant and chalet was clean. Food was really good. Only thing worth noting was that when we were looking at options I found facilities like the pool and sauna were a bit over described.

Situated off piste (for us keen skiers to quickly make this their favourite chalet) it's virtually ski in/out. It's also one of the highest located chalets in all of Europe, some claim the highest... either way you can't find a much more snow-sure catered chalet than this. Great place to stay for intermediate to advanced skiers. All rooms have a balcony, most of which offer awesome panoramic views of the mountains and resort village. Access to the pool and sauna across the way makes this a popular place to stay, with all its luxurious amenities and service included. NB: you must check those extras are included before you book, as I'm writing this review in winter 2013/2014 and chalet specifications and features do change.
