First time in a chalet and loved it

Reviewed 25 Mar 2015

We had a good week! This was our first time staying in a catered chalet and I’d recommend a chalet holiday to anyone now! We’ll definitely look into booking a catered chalet again, possibly for sole occupancy so we can fill the place ourselves.
The food was absolutely amazing, we didn’t pay a massive amount and would have been happy with burgers and chips but fair play to Charlie our host who really upped his game with some great suppers. If you wanted something different, he’d make it for you no problem.
The only thing was that we found the rooms a bit small but I know you don’t end up spending much time in them.
The chalet is in Courchevel 1650 so it’s a bit of a walk to the middle of town but as it is you just have to go up 200m and catch an escalator, which wasn’t a problem at all.

Had great holiday: great host, well looked after chalet

Reviewed 7 Mar 2014

My wife and I had a really good holiday here – the chalet host was great and the chalet itself was absolutely fine, very clean and well looked after. It’s effectively a 5 bedroom house with 5 double rooms, so it’s nice and small.
Really minor issue – the bedrooms were beautiful but they were small. We had 2 hard suitcases and there was nowhere to put them so it blocked the room up a bit for the week. I’d definitely stay here again, it didn’t put me off at all but if anyone else is planning to stay here, take a sports bag that you can squash under the bed so it doesn’t get in the way.
The only other thing that could be a negative would be where the chalet is – but again this wouldn’t put me off staying here in the future. It’s on the far side of Courchevel, a little bit round the corner rather than in the centre, so can be quite a trek to get over to Meribel and to get back at the end of the day. As you ski back down to get home, you have to come down the main thoroughfare of Courchevel and keep zig-zagging and bearing right to get over. When you’re setting out in the morning, it’s sometimes easier to get the bus that stops outside the chalet to 1850, where you can then take the lift to Saulire.

Seclusion in a "chalet hamlet"

Reviewed 30 Sep 2013

Conveniently located next to a number of other quality chalets, including Ecureuil De Neige, you’ll be able to join your fellow ski and chalet lovers in the short journey down to the village centre, as well as the piste, as you enjoy the separation of ski, social and sleep in this beautiful little chalet village. In a wonderful confluence of fire and water, catch a tan as the sun bounces off the glimmering snow from the balcony. The snow conditions tend to hold well in the three valleys, so this is often a popular holiday for late season skiing and snowboarding trips.
