Wonderful views

Reviewed 8 Jun 2016

We had good stay here. The chalet is a bit tired (carpets, general décor, bathroom doors sticking) and also a bit much for one chalet maid to cope with. She didn’t clean our room during the stay which was a shame. She coped well with the food though which was good. The location is excellent, it took about 5 minutes to get to the button lift. The chalet has fantastic views. We booked late so didn’t get to choose our room, but you can enjoy the views from the lounge which is lovely.

An enjoyable stay in Chalet Julien

Reviewed 25 Apr 2016

We enjoyed the Chalet Julien, chalets are all similar aren’t they, but this was our second chalet holiday and we liked it. The location was good, the slopes weren’t too far away, though you did have to walk a little bit before you reached them. In a lot of chalets you come out of the door and straight onto the slopes but that wasn’t the case here. The food was ok, all of the party found it alright so there are no complaints!

Lovely chalet, great location

Reviewed 20 May 2015

A lovely chalet – we booked as 4 adults and you always wonder who else you’ll be staying with, but everyone got on really well which was great.
Apart from a bit of a steep climb on some steps, the location was fantastic. You could get from the chalet to the piste in about 3 minutes. Everything was literally on our doorstep – the funicular (3 minutes away) which takes you down to 1950, where there are lots of bars and restaurants runs until midnight, so it was all accessible.
Our chalet girl was great. We enjoyed nice, home cooked food: cooked and continental breakfasts, homemade cakes for afternoon tea and everything from steak to duck for dinner. Our bedrooms were fine – small and compact but with enough room to store everything. The pool was good to relax in at the end of the day!
