Great apart from hot tub and sauna not working!

Reviewed 3 Jun 2016

Would be a 4/5 but neither the hot tub or sauna were working all week, and as these were the reasons we chose the chalet it was quite frustrating and didn’t make it the best experience! The hosts were brilliant and the food was pretty good. The menu was fairly traditional chalet food, like coq au vin, then a couple of fish dishes which was slightly unusual. Wi-Fi wasn’t really up to coping with everyone. Location is spot on: 2 minutes’ walk from the piste. Bedrooms were pretty good and storage is as expected, with a big ski room and lockers.

Really good

Reviewed 24 Apr 2015

Apart from my bedroom being a bit small (it was a bunk bed room) the rest of the chalet was absolutely fine. It was probably a 50 metre walk (if that) to the slopes and there was a really good bar and restaurant where you could stop on the slopes for a beer before returning to the chalet. Breakfasts were good with a full English every day and dinners were nice too.

Perfect position but small rooms

Reviewed 12 Jun 2014

The chalet was nice, the 2 young girls who ran it were very, very good and obviously enjoyed what they were doing which always makes a difference.
The food was really good, they asked you in advance what you wanted so when you got there it was all sorted. My wife is a diabetic and the girls made sure there were snacks, cakes and sweets etc that were suitable for her, which meant she wasn’t stuck eating cheese all week while everyone else enjoyed the cakes.
The chalet is cramped though, much smaller than we’d expected. Our room was clean and comfortable but the space was very limited. It was fine for the week and we were happy but it might have been a different story if the weather was bad and we’d have needed to spend more time there.
Apart from everything else, where it’s positioned (20-30m) is perfect and for this reason I’d go back. The chalet is above Les Menuires and we only went into the resort twice, you can ski down and get the lift back up or there’s a free bus. There’s a bar right next to the chalet which was quite nice too.
