Nice Austrian Chalet

We very much liked it. The chalet is nice and big and has a great atmosphere, we had a lovely holiday. We liked having a good sized bedroom, Austria tend to have more generous sized rooms whereas in France they can get very squashed. It was quite basic but fine. The host was great. We liked the food which was standard chalet fare, duck one night, chicken one night, fish one night… Very generous cakes for afternoon tea and breakfasts were full English or continental. Having the bus stopping just outside (literally 10 yards) was very convenient and the bus takes you to the ski place in 5 minutes. If you walk it took 15 minutes which a lot of us ended up doing, there was only a slight incline and the walk was very pleasant.

Quite old and dated but overall OK. The chalet location was good for getting around Soll. The food was good. My bedroom had all the space I needed. The staff did a good job, no problems at all.

Fantastic

The Bichler is a fantastic chalet. The staff were friendly, we had a good sized room and the food was great, 3 course evening meals with an aperitif, afternoon tea and cake and good breakfasts.
Because the snow was bad we had to walk to get the bus, but I could imagine from the location that if conditions had been better we’d have been able to get to the slopes quite quickly.
We stayed the week before Christmas and it was quite festive with a Christmas tree out in the chalet and the staff were preparing a big meal for the guests coming the next week – shame we didn’t get to enjoy it!

Excellent! The staff were very good, they couldn’t do enough for you. The food was exceptional, it was superb. I enjoyed every meal. It’s not a massive chalet, there aren’t many rooms, so if you aren’t going in a huge group it’s perfect. It’s in a great location, the bus stops about 10 meters from the chalet and takes you directly to the gondola. Otherwise it’s about a 5 minute walk.
Thoroughly recommended!
