Lovely!

Reviewed 3 Jun 2016

A lovely chalet! It was very comfortable and the décor was nice. The room with the PlayStation was good and kept the kids entertained. We liked the food and the staff were really nice. You can ski in and ski out as long as you’ve got enough snow – it was touch and go before we arrived but luckily the conditions were ok.
All round a good experience.
Our only one negative is the way they dealt with dining in the evening – the way they condensed everyone so we had to sit together and have dinner with certain people all week. The only possible improvement would be to have separate tables so you’re not forced to sit with people you might not get on with.

High Times at Altitude

Reviewed 4 Mar 2014

My wife and I stayed with our 11 and 9 year old children. We had two rooms on the top floor. The rooms were spacious, airy and very comfortable. The staff were professional helpful and friendly. The chalet is half way up the mountain so once the lifts close you are more or less in for the night which was fine for us as we have younger children. Whilst the chalet is very modern and has a new build feel about it , because it is not large it is still intimate. The dining area operates as a mountain restaurant during the day with a private lounge for chalet guests, and because of this the kitchen has a dedicated professional team. They offer a choice for evening meals and we found them flexible with additional requests. The food was excellent. The boot room is modern and warm and gives direct access to the piste with a 10 second easy as pie glide to the button lift. Overall a top venue.

Amazing holiday and wedding proposal at Altitude Lodge

Reviewed 29 Oct 2013

Here are a few words about our time at the Altitude lodge back in Jan 2012. I wanted to book a boarding holiday somewhere nice where I could also propose to my then fiancée. A few friends had recommended Les Gets so I searched for some places online and Altitude lodge came up. The website and pictures looked great and also being able to choose your own room from the floor plan was very handy. I went with room 5 as it has a private hot tub which overlooks the slopes. The location of the lodge couldn't be better. Its bang in the middle of one of the slopes so you literally step out of the chalet and you're standing on a blue run. We were picked up from the airport by Kat who drove us back to the chalet and showed us around. Our room was spacious, cosy and the bed was lovely, not to mention the hot tub on the balcony which was hot all the time even when it was snowing like crazy! Kat was great the entire time we were there, even picking us up late at night after having a meal at La Grande Ourse on the other side of the vally, which she recommended to us (first time I had Kangaroo for dinner!) The chalet staff always went our of there way to look after us or provide anything we needed, and they kept the chalet and hotel looking immaculate at all times. I must make a special mention about Melissa, Bianca and Tom who were fantastic to us our entire stay and really made our time there that much more enjoyable. I proposed to my wife in our balcony hot tub on a bluebird day overlooking the mountains. Matt the bar manager provided me with some champagne on the house to top it off (and of course she said yes :-) The food at the lodge was simply amazing. I cant remember the chefs name but he did a fantastic job every night. Even the day time food from the bar was great (I recommend the altitude burger!) and the afternoon cakes were brilliant to. My ski trousers were definitely a bit tighter after eating here for a week :D I would also like to mention Jonathan who was a great ski host and showed us some nice runs around Les Gets. So to sum it up... chalet; awesome location; awesome staff; awesome food; awesome Definitely recommended and we are looking to book room 5 again sometime in the near future! Tom and Diane.

A wonderful week

Reviewed 23 Oct 2013

We had a wonderful week at Altitude Lodge. The staff were really lovely, friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well designed, and our hot tub was a real luxury and well looked after. (Very minor comment - We would have like another outside chair or two, maybe even a lounger.) The food was fantastic all through the day from breakfast to tea and dinner, especially delicious cakes at tea and 3 course dinners to die for. I cannot fault the service and super atmosphere at the Lodge. You have a fabulous team there and we have never had such a wonderful skiing holiday. We would definitely come back if we have the chance, We just wish we didn't have to leave.
