Cortina Easter holidays

Easter ski holidays are all about pleasant weather and enjoying the beautiful spring time in the mountains, and Cortina is the perfect place for this. With an incredible average record of 8 out of 10 days of sunshine, and a stunning setting in the Dolomite mountains, you can’t really get any better than this. The sweet little pedestrian streets are perfect for families to wander safely, and year upon year we get customers raving about how laid back and authentic the town feels. This resort is miles away from the mega resorts you get in the Western Alps, so it’s the perfect place to escape the crowds that you might find over Easter in other resorts. Couples will also enjoy an Easter getaway here as the town is full of excellent restaurants, perfect for a romantic meal for two.

Easter is nearing the end of the season in Cortina so you will probably find that the snow starts to melt away in the afternoons. The best snow will be up on the high and northern facing slopes – our tip is to head either up to the top of the Tofana area, or if you want to go really high, the Cristallo area is probably best (reaching up to 3243m). Try the high-altitude black Canalone Staunìes run if you’re feeling adventurous, the views from the top are stunning. If the snow isn’t up to scratch or you’re getting tired, copy the locals and have a relaxed lunch out on the sun terrace at one of the many excellent refuges, Rifugio Scoiattoli has some of the best views around and serves great food. If you’d rather spend the afternoon away from the slopes, there are plenty of walking paths from Cortina which are at their best in spring time, or you can always stay in town and go shopping or to the local ice rink.

For the best accommodation to suit your budget and tick all the boxes, give one of our friendly advisors a call and they will help you find the perfect holiday. Alternatively you might have already seen something which seems perfect on the website, in which case give us a call to book your holiday now.
