Since a large amount of the ski area includes north facing terrain, Saalbach is a good choice place for spring holiday skiing at Easter. Wake up early for a recommended anti-clockwise planned route to catch some rays on the south facing slopes in the morning, then stop for lunch on the mountain at a choice of scattered restaurants like the Asteralm. Later make your way to the shaded north facing slopes in the afternoon (the runs down from Leogang are great for this) - or if you want to come home with a good tan, take the afternoon off on a mountain hut recliner by slopes.

We have a range of great hotels to pick between – we love the Guesthouse Schattberg for its homely rooms positioned just a few minutes from the main lift and five minutes from the centre, or the Hotel Panther is another popular choice in the centre only 50 metres from three of the ski lifts for a really easy holiday.

Saalbach covers a huge linked ski area between Hinterglemm and Leogang, with 90% of the tracks covered by snow cannons to ensure good conditions. Indulge in some tasty Austrian cuisine by the piste and go tobogganing one evening on the floodlit tracks in Hinterglemm!

In past years the resort has put on special Easter bonuses, offering a free ski pass to children for every three-day or more adult pass that is purchased, so it can be cheaper for families to ski in Saalbach at Easter – check with the tourist office or see if we have any holidays with lift pass deals available.
