Location: where is The Manoir

The Manoir is located in the very centre of town, just 200m from the piste. For guests staying in The Manoir our pre-booked ski hire is provided by Mathias Sports, who offer an in-chalet fitting service.

Overview: chalet description: The Manoir description

* Outdoor Hot Tub * Cinema Room with Pool Table*
The Manoir is very special to Andy Sturt, here's why it means so much; "I first walked past this building in 1985, skis on shoulder, another day at the office. I've walked past a thousand times since and never once not stopped to admire the most beautiful building in Morzine. Everyone stops to look. I was excited when it came up for sale a few years ago, even more so when a good friend bought it."

The Manoir was built in 1790 and home to the local Notary for two centuries. Metre thick walls of local stone and horsehair, priceless mosaic floors, flagstone halls, towering ceilings, huge rooms from when space had no premium and timber and plaster detailing from when labour was cheap.

The chalet took on a complete transformation, it was stripped back and re-clad, retaining all its precious elements whilst layering in a sympathetic veneer of modern day essentials; walk-in showers, roll top baths, flat screen TVs and wifi at your pillow. Undoubtedly destined for the pages of ‘House & Garden', The Manoir is the most eye-catching property that we operate across the Alps.

In essence The Manoir is just five bedrooms (three with extra beds in a kids' corner) to sleep up to 15 in the very centre of Morzine and two hundred yards from the piste. There are two lounges, one formal, one with TV, a magnificent dining room, a few fireplaces and a hot tub with a view to die for. Downstairs the cellar has also been transformed to offer a spacious ski and boot room and a wonderful cinema room complete with pool table. In reality, stepping in to this beautiful property will take your breath away.

For guests staying in The Manoir we recommend the ski hire service from Mathias Sports who offer in-chalet fitting (pre-booked hire only). Once you are settled and have sampled the afternoon tea that awaits you on arrival a member of the Mathias Sports team will visit and fit all your equipment without you having to leave the comfort of your chalet. At the end of the week your equipment will be collected from the boot room, so no need to carry it back to the shop. We are confident you'll get the very best of service from the Mathias Sports team.

This package holiday to The Manoir in Morzine, France departs Sunday 20th April 2025, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.
