Overview: apartment description: Tahoe Lakeshore Lodge & Spa description

NB: while the Supplier rating is 3.5 Star, the Official rating is 2 Star.

The Lakeshore Lodge & Spa is your front row seat to one of the most beautiful lakes in North America, Lake Tahoe.

Situated right on the waterfront within walking distance to the lively hubbub of South Lake Tahoe, the Lakeshore Lodge & Spa is the perfect base to explore the Heavenly mountains. It’s a short bus ride away from the gondola, as well as the Stateline casino downtown area – great for a taste of the Nevada nightlife.

The property offers both hotel rooms and condominiums, all with views across the lake and mountains. The lodge rooms are kitted out with classic pine-log furniture and décor, creating a warm, rustic feel, while the condos – which are privately owned – differ in style and furnishings.

When you’re not up on the hill, you can chill in the outdoor hot tub, or head out onto the frozen beach and build your own snowman, right on top of the hidden sand. When the cold gets too much, head inside to the Elements Spa for a bit of pampering – the spa specialises in treatments like Swedish massages, stone therapy and Reiki.

Each morning you’ll be treated to a simple continental breakfast – Danish pastries and fruit are big features on the menu – while, for dinner, you’ll have the chance to check out the many restaurants in the South Lake Tahoe area. If you fancy a beer, then head to one of the many breweries and craft-beer venues around town – you won’t want to miss them.

Lake Tahoe is on the state line of California and Nevada, taking advantage of the Western American sun, as well as the high altitude of the mountains surrounding the lake. Being the focal point of 9 surrounding ski areas, this is a destination with some of the most spectacular views in the world, contrasting between mountain, lake, town and Nevadan desert. The closest resort to Reno-Tahoe International Airport is Mount Rose, a relatively small ski area with a high concentration of more challenging terrain, wit...
With an area of this size and resorts of this calibre, you’re likely to find more than enough skiing over the immense 20,210 acres of the 9 main resorts. With families accounting for an increasing number of traffic, you’ll find top quality customer service as well as easy trails accounting for 19.4% of runs in the area. Intermediates are catered for the most, with every resort bar one having the highest proportion of their trails categorized as mid difficulty. The tendency of American ski resorts to allow s...
Après in this area can only be described as one of a kind – you are unlikely to find anything like this anywhere in the world. With the lake being dissected by the California/Nevada state line, you’re exposed to a wealth of après style, nightlife and off the mountain activities. You can sense the Nevadan party style at any of the towns on this side of the state line. South Lake Tahoe and Reno epitomise this, each housing numerous casinos where you can gamble the night away in the style of Las Vegas. In ad...
