· 6 minutes' walk to the resort centre · 10 minutes' walk to the City Xpress gondola · 2 minutes' walk to the ski bus stop · 1 minute's walk to the lake
The Seehotel Sissi is a great-value pick in Zell am See. It’s right next to the lake and around 10 minutes’ walk from the City Xpress gondola, which'll whisk you straight to the heart of the ski area.
Outside, the hotel looks traditionally Austrian, with wooden balconies and colourful shutters. And on the inside, the rooms are inspired by nature, so you’ll find a mix of light and dark wood, splashes of green and artwork of forests and flowers.
There aren’t too many facilities here, though there is a sauna and a terrace where you can relax at the end of the day. And you’ll get a simple buffet breakfast to set you up before you head off to explore one of Austria’s most cosmopolitan ski resorts.
