The Rauris Guesthouses are an excellent choice for skiers on a budget. You’ll be allocated into one of these traditional accommodations, where you can expect a warm welcome and cosy, chalet-style décor.
The rooms are simple, but they’ve got a TV and facilities to make a cup of tea, as well as a comfy bed – and you’re probably going to be spending all your time on the slopes anyway.
Each of the guesthouses is located a maximum 10-minute walk from the centre of Rauris and the nearest lift, so not too far from the action. They’re offered on a bed and breakfast basis, so you can fill up in the morning and then explore the restaurants in town for lunch and dinner – or upgrade to half board to get your evening meals taken care of too.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.

Many Austrian hotels do not serve free tap water with meals.
