Overview: chalet description: No 3 Penthouse description

In the very heart of Avoriaz, No.3 Penthouse Suite is an outstanding addition to our portfolio. There is something deeply satisfying and somewhat ‘ski Zen' staying at the very top of a building on the top of the mountain.

It took us ten years to do the deal, but in Spring 2015 with a local partner, we (at last) bought the top floor of the best located building in Avoriaz and have transformed twelve 1970's apartments into three fabulous contemporary spaces. No.3 Penthouse Suite is the largest and most adaptable of the three units on our private 9th floor.

We've tried to include a nod to 1960s Avoriaz glamour in the décor whilst remembering that you still want a warm classic alpine home after a hard day on the hill. There are fabulous views to the horizon from the top floor and immediate lift access to waft you to and from the piste and bustling resort centre far below. The suite is entirely independent with open plan living/dining area and contemporary fireplace, surround sound TV, DVD, WiFi, plus flat screen TV's in the bedrooms and a dedicated chalet host.

Call quick, flexible accommodation like this in a killer location doesn't usually stay on the shelf for long.

No 3 Penthouse offers 4 en suite bedrooms including a Family Suite on the Lower Floor. The Family Suite has Double and Twin rooms which share a bathroom. The chalet is perfect for groups and families of 8 to 10.

Meals: No 3 Penthouse food & drink

Our Executive Chef is passionate about food and hugely sensitive to the appetite of a hungry skier whilst considering a balanced diet. The new and refined menus are heavy enough to reward mountain exertion yet light and simple enough to leave you grinning not groaning.

All our catered ski holidays include;

  • Continental breakfast with a cooked option on 6 mornings
  • Afternoon tea will be left in the chalet for you to help yourself to freshly made cake or biscuits, bread & jams, selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate
  • Canapés on the first and last evening
  • 3 course evening meal (6 nights) followed by cheese board and coffee
  • A choice of red and white wine is served throughout dinner
We update No 3 Penthouse's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Established in the 1960s as the brainchild of Olympic champion skier Jean Vuarnet, Avoriaz is a purpose build resort with tonnes of character. The wood-clad buildings have a striking appearance that set it apart from other destinations. Even more impressive is the 360° panorama of the Alps. Avoriaz is brilliantly located right in the centre of the Portes du Soleil ski area. Completely ski-in ski-out, a holiday in Avoriaz means you don't have to lug your equipment around and you can maximise time on the slopes...
Avoriaz is one of our favourite resorts to bring the family - thanks to a huge and central children's village, complete with a specialised snowboarding area, children can learn to ski and ride in a fun and safe environment. Avoriaz is one of the only resorts that has a Beginner Pass, letting you find your feet on easy terrain via 14 lifts without the expense of a full lift pass. Beginners-only piste Première Glisse gives you the chance to improve at your own pace, while Proclou and Q'monts are easy blues for cr...
Avoriaz has worked hard on it's apres game in the last few years, with the addition of a well-known apres go to 'La Folie Douce' for winter 2018. It has an array of restaurants, bars and off-slope activities that contribute to a lively après ski scene. Le Tavallion is an English themed pub for a home-from-home atmosphere, Shooters is good for party-lovers while Le Yak tends to be the venue of choice for late-night clubbing. Featured in the Michelin Gourmet plate guide, La Reserve is a place to fine-dine in st...
