Overview: chalet description: Levi Log Cabins description

The Levi Log Cabins are in a quiet and scenic wooded location, but also close to Levi centre. Each cabin is of an excellent quality and built from Nordic pine round logs, they are exactly what you picture when you think of Lapland's log cabins.

They all have a well equipped kitchen and a cosy lounge area with a fireplace, creating a warm and homely feel after a day out in the arctic circle. A sauna is featured in all of the log cabins to really warm you up, and get you in the Lappish culture.

The cabins are around 500 metres to the village centre and excellent supermarket. The ski bus stops a couple of minutes walk (150m) away. Guests can also choose to have an optional half board at a supplement taken at the Sirkantähti Hotel, which is around a 5 minute walk (400m) away.

Etelärinteet is the name of the area to the south, Itärinteet is its eastern ridge, and there’s north-facing Koillisrinteet. Eturinteet is where you’ll find the front pistes, and the snowparks and Gondoli World Cup run are also on the west ridge. Lastenmaa Kids’ Land by Zero Point and Tenavatokka is the perfect place to learn; there’s a fantastic wide run amongst the trees. Beginners are best accommodated on the eastern and southern areas of the Levitunturi, where there are some wonderful steady blues...

"EXCELLENT!"

Nice, warm and clean chalets in a good location. A bit of a walk to the ski centre, but not too far. We did lots of cross country skiing and could ski straight from the accommodation which was great. They’re very pretty and authentic looking and ours turned out to be great and just what we wanted. We self-catered all week which was fine, there are two supermarkets close by which have lots of choice. Our girls liked the sauna! Overall it was perfect for the price and location, and there wasn’t anything else we needed.

"Well managed, clean, warm and comfy"

The cabins aren’t as nice as the ones we had the year before but they were still clean, comfortable and well appointed with everything we wanted as well as always being very warm. The people who looked after the apartments were really helpful – we had some problems with noise from people staying nearby but as soon as we told them, it was sorted out straight away. Everything was within walking distance including the supermarket, slopes and main restaurants.
