Beautiful apartment block "Les Domaines de l'Arselle", 2 storeys, built in 2006, surrounded by trees. On a slope, in the countryside. For shared use: swimming pool (12 x 6 m, 01.05.-30.09.). Outdoor shower, tennis, children's playground. In the complex: reception, sauna, fitness room, storage room for skis. Motor access to 3 m from the house (mountain road). In Winter: please take snow chains. Public parking on the road. Shop 100 m, supermarket 250 m, restaurant 15 m, bus stop 20 m. Golf course 9 km, tennis 700 m, ski lift, ski school 75 m, sled run 200 m, cross country ski track 100 m, ice field 4 km. Nearby attractions: Grenoble 30 km, Lyon 130 km, Genève 160 km. Well-known ski regions can easily be reached: Chamrousse 1700. Please note: suitable for families.

Beautiful scenery Former Olympic resort Near Grenoble

A cluster of three villages in a quiet spot of woodland above Grenoble, at the foot of the Belledonne mountains. Former host of the Winter Olympics, Chamrousse has some fantastic skiing for beginners and families - with a few gems thrown in for experts (this is where Jean-Claude Killy won his golds, after all).

Book beginner or improver lessons with local English-speaking instructors for a fantastic introduction to the area - lessons are available from both of the villages, practising on friendly nursery slopes kitted out with conveyor lifts and rope tows. The button lift from 1750 Roche Béranger accesses some of the best beginner runs in this area; ski the Perche and divert via the Variante de la Perche until you’ve built some confidence.
