Overview: hotel description: Le Panoramic description

With direct access to the slopes of Flaine Forêt, Le Panoramic is the place to stay for a good-quality, modern self-catering holiday in a spectacular mountain setting.

Every apartment in this large complex is decked out with wood and stone surfaces to give a cosy feel, while the artwork dotted around the rooms echoes the snowy outdoor environment. As well as comfy beds and a social living area, each apartment is equipped with a kitchenette where you can prepare meals. Here with your little ones? Make the most of our childcare run in the nearby Le Flaine Hotel and enjoy an adult-only ski day.

As for the skiing , you’ll just have to pop on your skis or board in the morning, slide over to the barriers and jump on the chair that’ll take you up to the 265km of runs in the Le Grand Massif ski area. Pedestrianised Flaine Forum – home to shops, restaurants and characteristic buildings – is close by too, accessed by a gondola.

The hotel has so much more to offer than just convenience, though. Non-skiers and late risers can blow out some morning cobwebs with a few lengths in the hotel’s indoor pool, friends can congregate and chill in the communal TV area, and pampered pups can soothe their ski legs with a session in the sauna. If you're here with the little ones, you can even

This package holiday to Le Panoramic in Flaine, France departs Saturday 18th March 2023, for a 7 night stay on a "self catering" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 2024 was between €1 and €3 per person, per night.

At just an hour's drive from Geneva, Flaine's known as a 'fly-in, ski-in ski-out' resort. The ease of skiing that families and keen skiers rave about here's no accident – legendary architect Marcel Lajos Breuer designed it to be as ski friendly as possible, and he did a jolly good job. A ski lift or piste is never far away, and the town itself is entirely traffic-free, with cars only allowed to enter to drop off and pick up luggage. Whilst it won't be winning the gong for chocolate box charm, Breuer's work...
With its high altitudes producing outstanding ski conditions throughout the season, Flaine is famed for offering an all-round ski area with plenty of slopes for all abilities. It is the perfect place for some quality skiing or snowboarding. Flaine is a popular place to learn to ski or snowboard and even has free beginners lifts for those who are finding their feet. The schools all have English speaking instructors who can guide you through the basics and have you gliding down the slopes in no time. Once you...
The excellent skiing in the resort is matched by fun après ski, and there's something to suit everyone - from a family night out to an all-night party thanks to a range of places to eat, drink and dance. If you're staying in Flaine Forum, you'll enjoy all the restaurants and bars right on your doorstep. The après is a short bus ride from Flaine Foret which is considered the slightly more residential part of Flaine. You can get a ski lift or shuttle bus into the town for après so you won't be missing out. ...

"Fantastically sited, lovely inside but badly managed"

Lisa, Essex
3/ out of 5
The apartments themselves are lovely, but my main complaint is the lack of organisation there. They’d only just opened and they didn’t have enough staff. The apartments are owned by a big French company who run other apartments in the same resort and they should have drafted in more senior staff. The checking in procedure was shambolic - we arrived there at about 2, were told they wouldn’t be ready until 4 but it wasn’t until 6:30 that we got our keys. I had to queue for over an hour on two separate occasions, everyone staying there ended up complaining. There was laundry and towels just lying around at reception because of the lack of staff/management. We didn’t know until we arrived that although there are TV’s in the room, you have to pay 40€ per remote - then they told us not to bother because they only showed French channels anyway. Apart from the swimming pool, all the facilities also required an extra charge. We had to line up to collect bed linen and towels, it was more like being on a school trip than a holiday. Inside the apartment was lovely, we had a few niggles but soon sorted those out. The location is fantastic, it couldn’t have been better as we were right on the piste. We’d go back to Flaine and would possibly go back to these apartments, but I’d want to know that they’d got their acts together.
