Venture to the winter wonderland of Ylläs for a week of surprises and fun. With the Lapland Activity Week package, you can look forward to a week of husky sleigh rides through the snow-topped woodlands, zooming through the vast, white wilderness on a speedy snowmobile, a trip to the breathtaking Snow Village for lots of icy treats and even a magical meeting with some Lappish reindeer.

You'll be staying at the charming Saaga Hotel, located in the centre of Ylläs, ideal for exploring the resort and all its shops and restaurants. The hotel itself is modern and inviting, the rooms spacious and with fantastic views.

And when you're not sliding down the slopes or off on one of our exciting activities, there's a lot to do back at the hotel. From a fitness room and indoor swimming pool to a revitalising spa with lots of treatments on offer, the Saaga is guaranteed to please. And there's even a kids' pool and play area to keep them busy.

Top that off with tasty buffet breakfasts every morning and you've got a pretty great holiday ahead of you.

Husky Safari (5km)
Duration 2 hours.
An adventurous journey through the wilderness with friendly husky dogs, who really love to run. After this speedy experience, sip hot berry juice while listening to interesting stories about the daily life of these lovely barking animals. This excursion is done by car.

Wilderness Safari
Duration 2 hours.
Ride a snowmobile and admire the snow-covered landscape of Lapland, through forests and over frozen lakes. The guide will tell you all about the nature around you, and the safari is great fun for all, young and old, beginners and experienced drivers alike.

Snow Village
Duration 3 hours.
Journey to a magical world of ice and snow. On arrival at the Snow Village, you'll enter into a huge igloo packed with beautifully decorated rooms, ice sculptures, a chapel and even an ice restaurant. You'll be shown around the village made from snow and be told fascinating stories of how it was built. You can enjoy a drink in the ice bar before heading back to Ylläs by coach.

Reindeer Safari
Duration 3 hours.
Head out into the wilderness on a reindeer sleigh ride. A charming herdsman will teach you about traditional reindeer husbandry before serving you homemade cookies and coffee brewed over an open fire. This excursion is done by car.

Please note: Days and times of the activities will be confirmed by your rep in resort and will be arranged around any ski/board tuition you have booked.

This holiday is not available for departures on the 3rd January 2017. Holidays departing on this date are considered 'short breaks', meaning that there will not be enough time to complete all the activities included in the price.

The Wilderness Safari is based on 2 people sharing a snowmobile and the driver must be in possession of their driving licence. For single drivers, a supplement of approx. €35 must be paid locally.
Children under 4 years are not recommended for the Wilderness Safari or the Husky Safari.

The Akäs hotel is most popular for a few drinks with a dance floor and club inside, while the restaurants in the resort serve all kinds of local delicacies – reindeer and freshly caught fish are both highly recommend...
