Set back from the main resort, the K5 Hotel is set in a secluded wooded area. The hotel even has its own reindeer corral so you can see the animals living in their natural habitat. For the keen skiers and boarders, the ski lifts are less than a five-minute (500 metres) walk from the hotel, so you can make the most of the pristine pistes. The Kätkätunturi trails are nearby, take part in a snowshoeing excursion or enjoy a winter walk, both are excellent ways to see the unspoilt Lappish landscapes. If you want to pick up a souvenir to remember your Lapland holiday, there are various shops dotted around the resort selling handcrafted gifts and jewellery. There are also various sports shops and a supermarket so you can pick up some snacks before a day of adventures.
The stylish K5 Hotel is an intimate and luxurious small hotel set in a beautiful snowy, wooded location, beside a reindeer corral. It offers a high standard of attractively furnished accommodation with en-suite saunas in every bedroom.
After a day of exploring, you can chill out in the modern lounge bar featuring glass panelling; it is the ideal place to watch the world go by, and if you're lucky, you might even see the Northern Lights.
The hotel restaurant has a great reputation locally, and staying on half board, you can enjoy a three-course buffet-style meal each day with a varying menu. For a special evening meal, head to the restaurant Saamen Kammi, you can enjoy traditional Lapland delicacies by an open fire in a unique location, and tales of Lapland and traditional music accompany dinner (pay locally).
