Located in Salzburg, Kaprun is perhaps best known for being the home of the magnificent Kitzsteinhorn glacier and was the first Austrian resort to partake in glacier skiing way back in the 60’s. Kaprun’s pistes are split fairly evenly in terms of ability level, with the majority being classed as suitable for intermediate skiers.
