Right in the centre of the world renowned resort of St Anton, Hotel Schwarzer Adler is located directly at the entrance to the pedestrian area with the shops, bars and restaurants just a stone’s throw away (50 metres approx.). The hotel benefits from convenient access to the skiing with it being only a few minutes away from the ski slopes and cable cars. The Galzig gondola is a short 5 minute walk (800 metres approx.) at the top of the pedestrianized street and it is only 400 metres (approx.) to the local ski hire shop, Intersport. Whilst the hotel is traditionally decorated throughout, the alpine décor is combined with modern features to ensure you have a memorable stay in the mountains. This is the same for the finely appointed bedrooms with some decorated in classic, Austrian décor and others very modern. All are furnished with luxurious amenities and timeless elegance.

Experience tranquillity and relaxation at the hotel’s exquisite wellness area; the Adler Spa. The spa features 4 saunas, a steam salt bath, outdoor pool, massage rooms and a gym. Indulge in pampering wellness and beauty treatments, all of which are bookable locally. Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh).
