We had a brilliant time, the hotel was excellent. It has a really good standard of service, and is a proper 5* hotel, rather than a “5*” that’s more like a 3*… The hotel is really well laid out and also very clean and well presented. Kitzbuhel will leave both intermediate and advanced skiers and boarders very happy and doesn't disappoint beginners either. You can even night ski on the Gaisberg (piste 41). Holidays here are good value for beginners thanks to the free lifts on 7 of the practice runs. You'll find some convenient nursery slopes near the Hahnenkammbahn lift, a beginner zone in Jochberg and a sunny nursery area high up on the Horn. For first-timers, the Horn has some cruisey blue runs and lots of undemanding pistes, including t...
Austrian après ski is arguably the best there is and Kitzbühel certainly doesn't let the nation down. The nightlife is vibrant and varied, offering plenty of choices whether you prefer to sip schnapps with the socialites, table-dance with merry locals or have a quiet winter-warmer with friends. The Pavillon is a popular and lively apres bar while you'll find an Irish pub scene in O'Flannigans and great cocktails in Herbarium Bar. For after-hours partying, Club Take Five is a great nightclub, or enjoy pub vi...

"One of the few genuinely five star ski hotels"

Michael Norton, Cheltenham
5/ out of 5
This hotel is very nice and I’ve stayed there twice. With skiing, you generally don’t get 5 star hotels, but this is one of them. There’s an old part where the rooms aren’t quite as good and a new part which is a lot more contemporary, I’ve stayed in both parts and I definitely prefer the newer. The contemporary part has very nice modern rooms and in the old part, the rooms are really big. There’s an amazing swimming pool on the roof and a good spa. We ate there every night and they did a 5 course dinner. In the mornings it was probably the best ever breakfast I’ve had skiing – everything you can think of including champagne! To get to the skiing you can walk which we did, it takes about half an hour (we left our skis and boots in a locker in town, you wouldn’t be able to walk it in ski boots). There’s also a regular mini bus run by the hotel that took you to and from the slopes if you don’t want to walk.

"Superb rooms fabulous dinner, infinity pool - we'll be back!"

This hotel is absolutely fabulous, our stay here was superb and I can’t fault it. For the deal we got with Sno, it was very good value. We actually looked at going back this year but didn’t manage to get everyone together. We don’t normally go back to the same place but would definitely stay here again. Our meals were fabulous, they did a 6 course dinner in the evenings and had good entertainment while the meals were on, with local musicians, a piano player one night and a lady playing the harp another night which was brilliant. The hotel is away from the slope but there’s a courtesy regular minibus service to take you there and back, which was very good all week. The leisure facilities were out of this world – there’s a brilliant infinity pool on the roof. We had two separate rooms, which were superb, us in one and the kids in the other. We were at the back of the hotel and it would have been nice to be in the front as you have mountain views, but we had a view over the woods and the kids enjoyed watching the deer come out of the woods.

We had a brilliant time, the hotel was excellent. It has a really good standard of service, and is a proper 5* hotel, rather than a “5*” that’s more like a 3*… The hotel is really well laid out and also very clean and well presented. We were in the castle room bit, which was nice but I think the newer parts are probably nicer. Our part had no lift and we were on the top floor, with massive cases and ski boots it was a bit of legwork! The food was fantastic, they catered for Gluten Free pretty well, but could have done slightly better when it came to desserts. The spa and pool area were stunning. For the resort and ski slopes the bus they put on was tiny, and if you couldn’t get on you just had to wait. You have to get a taxi in the evening as it’s too far to walk.
