· 5 minutes’ walk to the Aiguille du Midi cable car · 5 minutes’ bus ride to the Brévent cable car · 7 minutes’ walk to the resort centre · 5 minutes’ bus ride to the ski school meeting point at the Brévent cable car · ski bus stop outside the hotel
The newly built Hotel Plan B, which opens in June 2020, offers a chic and contemporary place to stay. In the Chamonix Sud area of the resort, the hotel’s only 5 minutes' bus ride to the Brévent cable car and 5 minutes’ walk to the Aiguille du Midi cable car. Or the bus station is right outside for exploring further afield. It’s also a 7-10 minutes’ walk to the resort centre, with its variety of lively bars, restaurants and shops.
The hotel’s communal spaces focus on socialising and family fun. A large, central bar will host regular live music or you can sit back and catch up in the lounge. Or if you want to pamper yourself, head to the wellness area where there’s a sauna and hot tub. And a menu of massages and beauty treatments for an extra charge. Meanwhile, the kids will love the well-equipped games room with pool table, arcade machines and even a two-lane bowling alley.
When it comes to the food, you’ll start each day with a selection of hot and cold options on the buffet. And in the evening, the 4-course meal is waiter-served and focuses on locally sourced produce and seasonal dishes. There are also early meals for the little ones and a specific kids’ menu too.
The rooms are stylish and modern, with dark colours and wood panelling on the walls. And whether you choose a twin room for two or a superior twin room that sleeps up to three, you’ll get great views of either Mont Blanc or Aiguilles de Chamonix. All rooms have satellite TV with UK channels, free WiFi and tea and coffee-making facilities.
