Overview: hotel description: Hotel Petit Palais description

The Petit Palais is a great-value hotel with views of the Matterhorn. And it sits next to the 8km Ventina run so, if you’re confident on reds, you can slide right back to the hotel at the end of the ski day.

There’s a modern alpine theme throughout the place, with lots of natural wood and photos of famous peaks and pro skiers on the walls. You can get the real thing from your room too, if you pick one with mountain views.

In the evenings, you’ve got 4-course meals to look forward too – not to mention the free wine and soft drinks. After you’ve had your fill, head to the bar to catch up over drinks, play board games or pool, or test your knowledge on a quiz night.

"Good all inclusive hotel, would recommend"

Beverly Wilson, Wigan
4/ out of 5
We liked that the hotel was all inclusive (breakfast, lunch, dinner and drinks included) and our holiday work out a lot better value than our friends who were staying in Cervinia at the same time but on half board. The quality of everything was a lot higher than I thought it would be, considering the holiday wasn’t that expensive – we had a cooked breakfast every morning, you picked a sandwich that they made freshly for you to take out for lunch and for the evening meal you had a choice of 3 options. They also did an afternoon tea when you got in. We didn’t really use the facilities other than the room which was quite big (considering there were only 2 of us) as well as very warm and clean. I thought the location was perfect as you’re right opposite the lift and probably about a 5 minute walk from the town.

"Excellent food and nice for a family holiday"

The hotel was fine. The food was excellent – we were waited on in the evenings and there was also a packed lunch to take with us. It was only a little walk to the lift (you could actually see the lifts from the hotel). It’s a nice place for families, although for families with young children I would really recommend the Club Med in Cervinia (which we’ve also been to and we love it!), there’s more for young children to do there. There were activities at this hotel too though, like quiz nights and such like. The only thing we didn’t like at the hotel was that the staff were really just young kids and they weren’t very knowledgeable about what was on offer in resort and where things were. I wasn’t skiing so it would have been really helpful to know about extra activities and events. We went over New Years and there was a night ski procession in the village with fireworks, we actually missed this because we didn’t know it was on!
