A good all-rounder where you get what you pay for. For the number of stars it has, it’s as you’d expect it to be. The food was average, again what you’d imagine a 3 star hotel would serve. If I was going to recommend somewhere I’m not sure I would choose this hotel. However it was clean, tidy and it was ok for our holiday. The swimming pool was good and there is a sauna. My teenage boys seemed happy enough – it was a snowboarding holiday for them really. The food was ok. The staff didn’t speak... + more

Nestled in pine forests in the Rhodopi mountain range, you'll find Europe's sunniest ski resort. This beautiful Bulgarian village is compact and well hidden, meaning you won't have to fight your way through the crowds to get a seat on the efficient lift system. The village is nestled comfortably at the base of the Snejanka peak, which translates to Snow White, an understandable name given the magical pine forests and charming log chalets you'll find here. There are various perfectly groomed pistes, most of ...
If you’re new to the snow, this is the perfect place to discover your love for skiing. The safe hands of Pamporovo PLC school will ensure you and any other beginners not only learn a ton but have a great time doing so. The school meets in the Malina region, a short few minutes on the bus from the centre where you’ll get to grips with your French fries and pizza slices - you’ll be cruising down the magnificent Snezhanka 6 ‘Touristic’ piste in no time. For intermediate skiers, the slopes offer a wide range...
At first glance, the dreamy pine forests and cosy-looking chalets may give you the impression of a sleepy resort. Pamporovo is a bustling village with fabulous apres and restaurant options. Aside from the superb skiing on offer here, there are also bowling and fitness facilities, or if you can manage a longer break from the slopes, day trips to Plovdiv or visits to traditional Rhodopi homes in surrounding villages are well worth a go. However homely the Rhodopi villages maybe, we regret to inform you yo...

"What you'd expect from the price and star rating"

A good all-rounder where you get what you pay for. For the number of stars it has, it’s as you’d expect it to be. The food was average, again what you’d imagine a 3 star hotel would serve. They did a bit of a mix of local cuisine and European in a kind of buffet style with about 12 different options. All-inclusive was available from 3oclock until 11 (as in drinks, you couldn’t get up in the morning and have a drink, but we were always up on the mountain anyway). Getting around was alright with all the transport they had, the ski centre picking you up and taking you to the mountain and so forth. If you wanted to go back earlier you’d either have to pay a few lev for a taxi or wait an hour as the shuttle isn’t as frequent. My main tip is not to forget a euro plug as nowhere in Pamporovo can you buy one (and if you do you end up with a really cheap one that blows up..!).

"Staff didn’t speak much English"

If I was going to recommend somewhere I’m not sure I would choose this hotel. However it was clean, tidy and it was ok for our holiday. The swimming pool was good and there is a sauna. My teenage boys seemed happy enough – it was a snowboarding holiday for them really. The food was ok. The staff didn’t speak much English, whenever I spoke to them at reception they seemed to struggle to grasp what I was saying. In fact it seems to be more of a hotel for Eastern Europeans, there weren’t many English people there. Actually I think they said it was the Serbian holiday period, so the hotel was full of Russians. If I went back to Bulgaria it would be to Borovets next time which I think is more lively, there wasn’t much going on around the hotel, we just stayed in every evening. There is a shopping arcade round the back of the hotel but this seemed to be shut most of the time.
