The Hotel Panda is a small, budget boutique hotel perched above the shops in Pas de la Casa. Despite being in a very quiet location (guaranteeing a well-rested sleep each night, the ski lifts, shops and bars are still right round the corner.

Inside the hotel are 23 simple, clean bedrooms – ideal for couples and small groups of friends – all equipped with either a spa bath or hydro-massage shower.

Breakfast is included, too, meaning no faffing around with food each morning – expect an array of pastries, charcuterie and fresh fruits. The hotel is also home to two onsite restaurants – the Cava Roca and the Panda pizzeria – that you can enjoy dinner in, either on half-board or for an extra charge. The former serves up wood-fired cuisine while the latter, as the name suggests, is great for a good old-fashioned slice of pizza.

Probably best known for its après ski culture and long sunny days, Pas is the liveliest ski village in Andorra and with boundless opportunities both on and off the slopes, you may well be in need of another holiday when you get back. As part of the largest ski domain in the Pyrenees, the skiing is not to be sniffed at - and with cut price heli-skiing on the cards it’s a brilliant choice as a second trip for snowsports aficionados.

Not only is Pas de la Casa the highest ski resort in the Pyrenees (it sits at a lofty 2100m), but it’s also the sunniest. The après ski scene is arguably one of the best in Europe, and the resort is also home to some of the best shopping in the country… so far, so good! The first lift was installed by ski legend Francesc Viladomat in 1956, and the resort has been growing ever since. The variety of terrain is apparent as soon as you leave the village- from the six seater Font Negre or the smaller Costa Rodonda you’ll be able to access one of the regions snowparks, the boardercross track, beginners zone and a freeriding area. The beginners area at the base of the valley has a few incredibly gentle lifts and approachable nursery slopes and at the end of the day all levels of skier can ski right down into the village – the red/blue Tubs will take you virtually to the door of your hotel. ...
Pas de La Casa really comes into its own when it comes to the après scene, with locals and tourists alike taking liberal advantage of the duty free drink prices and late opening times.
