· ski-in, ski-out · 3 minutes' walk to the resort centre · 2 minutes' ski to the Funitel Peclet gondola and nursery slopes · 2 minutes' walk to the ski school meeting point
The popular Fahrenheit Seven showcases a perfect blend of modern and vintage style. The deep jewel tones, dark wood, touches of gold and plush furnishings create a feeling of affordable luxury in the high-end resort of Val Thorens.
The hotel is in a brilliant location, with ski-in, ski-out access from the terrace outside the ski room. It’s a short ski down to the main lifts, including the Funitel Peclet gondola, and the nursery slopes – or you can walk if you’re not yet comfy on skis. If you head out of the front of the hotel, it’s just a couple of minutes’ walk to the indoor shopping galleries, bars and restaurants in the resort centre.
Each of the 107 rooms has been decorated with warm colours and quirky details that evoke a 1920s feel. They can be adapted to suit couples, friends, families and groups, and you can choose which view you want to wake up to as well – village or piste?
Your day starts with breakfast in La Rotisserie restaurant. Each table is furnished with a basket of bread and pastries, and you can also fill up your plate with a selection from the continental buffet, which includes cereal, yoghurt, pancakes, scones, meat, cheese and fruit. If you’re craving something hot, there’s an à la carte menu to choose from, at an extra charge. If you upgrade to half board, you’ll also get a three-course evening meal with a choice of starter and main course, which includes a mix of international fare.
If you fancy a change, we definitely recommend trying the hotel’s second restaurant, Le Zinc, where you can savour a gooey pot of fondue, served with bread, salad and charcuterie.
End the evening with a few drinks in the hotel bar and lounge, or relaxing by the open fire in the lobby bar. Or if you prefer a more indulgent kind of après, take a trip to the wellness area and make the most of the sauna, hammam and ice fountain.
One Sunday a month, the Fahrenheit hosts live music and DJs, so you can dance the night away.
