Brilliant hotel, very friendly people and comfortable rooms! The food was good, you could have as much of the starters as you wanted and then you had 3 choices on the menu for mains so everyone was happy – it was really nice not having to find somewhere to eat every evening! It’s pretty much in the town which... + more

The best thing about the hotel is the location, it’s in a really good spot with the town on your doorstep and the slopes only about two minutes away. I can’t fault it: the Austrian food was really nice and the single room was nice, I can’t comment on the other facilities because I mainly ate and slept there ... + more

With its gorgeous lakeside location and buildings harking back to the Middle Ages, Zell am See is a resort that flawlessly combines traditional charm with modern efficiency. The town is easily accessible from anywhere in Europe - it’s only an hour from Salzburg by train which takes you to the station right in Zell’s city centre. The drive is only half an hour longer, making it perfect for last minute breaks and long weekends. With chic hotels and boutique-lined promenades, the pedestrianised town centre is ...
The skiing on the Schmitten above Zell am See is some of the most visually appealing in the world, with stunning views of the local peaks. Three quarters of the slopes are appropriate for beginners and intermediates, though the lengthy black Trassabfahrt is one of the most challenging in the country, so will be sure to keep the more advanced on their toes. The picturesque appeal doesn’t end with the panoramas from the peak - there’s little skiing above the treeline on the Schmitten, so visitors are treated ...
With runs that end up virtually in the middle of the village and plenty of opportunity for a quick bite or drink on the mountain, the après ski gets going long before the last skiers leave the slopes. The Pinzgauer Hut is a hidden gem on the mountain, serving delicious local fare and offers a complimentary snowmobile service to return you back to town. At the top of the Schmittenhohe, you can dance the afternoon away at the outside bar, before making your way down to the village to carry on the party. The Cabri...

"Everything was fantastic"

Hotel Lebzelter is fantastic, I have nothing bad to say about it! The rooms were comfy and spacious and they cleaned and changed them every day. The food was fantastic, always with lots of variety – excellent breakfasts and a really good salad bar in the evenings. The location is right in the middle of town, just a short walk to the lifts. We stayed here as a group and I’d definitely recommend it to others.

Brilliant hotel, very friendly people and comfortable rooms! The food was good, you could have as much of the starters as you wanted and then you had 3 choices on the menu for mains so everyone was happy – it was really nice not having to find somewhere to eat every evening! It’s pretty much in the town which was good as well as really near the slopes to get to the lifts. Zell am See is a brilliant resort, we could have had a bit more snow but overall the skiing is great.
