Our chalet board basis is designed for skiers and boarders. Breakfast is a fairly extensive affair with cooked and continental options every day. Your daily afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and biscuits will be waiting for you when you come in from the slopes.

Evening meals are a three-course set-menu with regionally inspired dishes and served with complimentary wine, all followed by fresh coffee. We provide evening meals on six nights a week leaving you free to head out and explore the resort on one evening.

We update Chalet Hotel Le Crêt's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Gobsmacking views of Mont Blanc aren’t the only bonus of the glacier - this ‘upside down’ ski resort is one of the most snow sure in the Alps, so much so that you can ski here in the summertime. Grenoble is the closest airport with a transfer time of just under 2 hours, making the resort really accessible by road. The resort was first used for skiing as early as 1925, when the first ski tow was erected. Unfortunately, this rather Neanderthal piece of equipment fell down a mere 15 minutes after the opening ceremony! The “Les Deux Alpes”, as we know it today, was established in 1946. It is commonly assumed that the name is derived from the two mountains on either side of the town, when in reality the na...
There are plenty of beginner slopes on the front face with runs like les Vikings and Les Gentianes for those learning to ski. The great thing about LDA is that there are some terrific beginner slopes higher up the mountain so new skiers can really experience the benefits of skiing at altitude. The Cretes area at 2100m is the favourite spot for ski schools, with the Ski Escalator a welcome aid to those learning to ski. A top tip for beginners is to either ski the green back to resort early or opt for the gondola ...
You don’t have to look far to find good après in L2A. The best place to start has to be the Panoramique bar, known as Pano bar to the locals. This slopeside restaurant, based at 2,600m really comes alive between 3pm and 5pm every day with a DJ set that will vibrate through your whole body. At the bottom of the piste, Umbrella bar is a great place to keep the party going. If you want to take the night further then Smithy’s is the place to go, with great modern music as well as a few nights of live entertainmen...

"Wonderful Lodge Le Cret"

Helen, London
5/ out of 5
Great chalet, warm cosy rooms (some with large balconies overlooking ski area), attentive helpful staff, great chef, close to slopes and ski lift, in centre of resort near bars, restaurants and shops.....what more could you ask for!? The positives - great three course meal every night, hot breakfast, afternoon tea and cakes, wifi, several lounge areas, bar in chalet and underneath, Polar Bear Bar opposite very good, clean bathrooms with plenty of hot water... the negatives - really cannot think of any!

"Good position, great staff"

We had a brilliant week. Our room was cool and the staff were great, especially the manager Shirley who was really nice. The food was good and we all enjoyed it throughout the week, it wasn’t the best food I’ve ever eaten but it was exactly what it needed to be. Breakfasts you could have whatever you wanted. There was lots of flexibility, a couple of our friends staying elsewhere were allowed to eat with us. The hotel also has a really good location.

"Stag do @ Le Cret"

It was my stag do, and there was another group of lads from Manchester, then just one other family – so we weren’t best received… The hotel is alright and the rooms are pretty big. We’ve stayed in nicer places before but this one was cheaper and the rooms reflected that. Everything is really loud there, you walk down a corridor and shut a door and it really slams, and the walls are paper thin. We ended up asking the family if they wanted to swap rooms with us so they could be higher up and away from the noise. The location was spot on for us as it’s literally right by quite a few of the bars, and you can just walk up the hill for more. The food was alright, breakfasts were pretty decent with the normal sausages and eggs. They’d do other bits if you asked them to so that was pretty good. The staff were all good and the bar was alright.

"Great package deal & I would recommend the hotel."

Basic room but has all you need for a skiing holiday. Small bathroom but plenty of lovely hot water. Rooms were very hot but you can adjust the radiators. Minor housekeeping issue where the floors needed damp dusting/mopping or sweeping under beds around furniture. 3 course set meal every night. Mainly one-pot dishes but tasty and plenty to go round. Always offered more too. Puddings were great. Team were friendly. Small areas for socialising, but it was cosy by the fire in the evenings after dinner. Boot room isn't heated which was a downside but we hired skis from Alborg and they held the boots and skis over night for us, no extra charge and they open promptly at 8.45am, so plenty of time to get to lessons as ski school was round the corner. There was some noise when night owls came past the hotel but nothing untoward and soon quietened down. Ideal place for a group or family, great package with 2for1 lift passes and half board. Afternoon tea available every day too and some of the cakes were delicious.
