· central location · 5 minutes' walk to the local lifts · on the ski bus route
Hotel Hörlgut has a great reputation not only as a friendly guesthouse-style hotel but also for it's fantastic à la carte restaurant and pizzeria. The Hörlgut is in a central location in Maria Alm, less than a 5-minute walk to the local ski lifts and right on the route of the ski bus for getting further into the Hochkönig ski area.
The owners of the Hörlgut are constantly updating their hotel - carefully retaining much of the traditional Alpine style you'd expect, while giving a fresh and vibrant touch with plenty of home comforts. There's an small but perfectly formed wellness area for a bit of relaxation time, alongside a couple of bars for catching up on the day's ski stories.
The hotel is split between two buildings separated by a side street. Whichever side you're staying in though, you have access to all the facilities and there's only 5 metres separating the two.
Please note:
The Hotel Hörlgut consists of two buildings separated by a side street. Rooms can be located in either building. Breakfast is taken on one side and dinner on the other.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.

Many Austrian hotels do not serve free tap water with meals.
