The friendly Garni Valerie is a traditionally Austrian hotel, with welcoming Austrian hospitality to match. It’s located down a quiet road, just a few minutes from the resort centre – so you can be near the action without the accompanying noise. The Reiterkogel lift is less than 200m away, an easy walk even in ski boots.
Inside, the Valerie is pretty much what you’d expect from a small hotel in this part of the world – it’s simple but comfortable, with solid wooden furniture and homely touches. The facilities are limited, but there is a ski room for storing your gear and a sauna for soothing those aching muscles. The free WiFi is a bonus too.
You can enjoy a varied breakfast buffet each morning, and then sample the many restaurants available on the mountain and in town for lunch and dinner.

Austrian twin beds
Austrian twin beds are very common in Central Europe. They’re simply one large bed frame containing two single mattresses, both with separate duvets and linen sets, that cannot be separated. Separate twin beds are less common and can often be head to head beds, rather than side by side, if they are available.
