Overview: chalet description: Chalet Hotel Ferienhof description

The Ferienhof is only a small chalet hotel (23 rooms) but it's instantly welcoming and has a distinct Austrian charm. The furniture is solid wood and often so are the walls and ceiling panels, all with beautifully carved, mountain-life inspired details.

Between the hotel's bar and small wellness area, you'll find yourself relaxing in no time. The après-ski gets going once the slopes empty and the atmosphere is fun yet laid-back. Being Austria, it calms down around dinner, just in time to enjoy a hearty evening meal in the dining room.

The hotel sits in a great location. You're close enough to the improved high-speed Penken gondola and lively nightlife (about a 5-8min walk), but tucked away on a quiet street ensuring a restful night's sleep.

The 500km+ ski area can take it's toll as it's such a fun, cruisy area. If you need some TLC to make sure you can get out on the slopes the next day, head to the sauna, steam room and cold room to get the blood pumping around any aching muscles.

There's even a small treatment room with a good choice of sports and beauty therapies.

Equipment delivery service

When you pre-book equipment hire with us, you can also enjoy our hassle-free delivery and collection service. Simply head to the equipment hire shop on arrival day (about a 10min walk), get fitted for your hire kit and the shop will deliver it to the hotel later that day. On the last day of your holiday, the shop will come and collect the hire kit from the hotel too.

Room Types: Chalet Hotel Ferienhof bedrooms

The 23 rooms are a really good size with plenty of natural light. There's a good choice of room sizes sleeping between two and six people, including two suites which have their own kitchen and dining area; perfect for larger families. Every room has a balcony, most of which have superb scenic views.

Most of the beds here are Austrian twins. These are two separate matresses and bed linen on one large bed frame with a common headboard.

Meals: Chalet Hotel Ferienhof food & drink

Our chalet board basis is designed for skiers and boarders. Breakfast is a fairly extensive affair with cooked and continental options every day. Your daily afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and biscuits will be waiting for you when you come in from the slopes.

Evening meals are a three-course set-menu with regionally inspired dishes and served with complimentary wine, all followed by fresh coffee. We provide evening meals on six nights a week leaving you free to head out and explore the resort on one evening.

We update Chalet Hotel Ferienhof's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Near the end of the stunning Ziller Valley, Mayrhofen exudes Austrian charm in a lively, cheerful atmosphere. "Amazing, have booked again!"

This hotel was amazing! We had a fabulous time and I couldn’t find anything to fault! The food was excellent and the staff were wonderful. Loved the bedroom which had beautiful views over Mayrhofen. Everyone raved about it, so much so that we’ve booked to go again next year. The only thing was the walk to the main gondola, but because they hire out lockers by the gondola and up on the mountain we didn’t have to carry our skis about.

We had a very good week! The hotel is really, really nice and the staff were outstanding! We liked the food. Ours was a last minute booking and we got two rooms next door to each other, they were a really good size! Our reps did a thing with a local ski shop where they brought our skis to the hotel so we didn’t have to carry them – this was great. The walk into town was OK in normal shoes, to the lifts probably took ten minutes (it would have been more pleasant in normal weather conditions, it was very warm when we were there!).
