Overview: hotel description: Hotel Alpina Deluxe Resort description

NB: This is a "family" hotel, so all bookings must include at least one child or teenager.

Hotel Alpina Deluxe Resort is the perfect place to stay for families looking for traditional Austrian hospitality, a great location on the piste, extensive leisure facilities and spacious family bedrooms. The nearest piste leads to the Festkogl gondola opening up the wonderful Obergurgl ski area.

The hotel's ski room has heated boot racks and from here you walk out directly on to the piste and ski or walk 3 minutes down to the ski school meeting area.

The hotel is wonderfully positioned for families to take advantage of the childcare located in Chalet Hotel Alpenblume, approximately 3 minutes' walk away, and the excellent facilities for children that the hotel offers. Children booking morning Sprite lessons will be picked up by Rangers on the way to the ski school meeting place and you can chose either full day 'Xtra' lessons, we supervised lunch and Snow Club or join the free child supervision offered by the hotel in their dedicated room which includes lunch and is available from 9am to 9pm from Sunday to Friday.

There is a 2nd playroom which is not supervised and this forms part of the 'Children's Land' facilities in the hotel including wall games, table football, painting, a bouldering wall, a labryinth table and magnetic games all in a 350m2 play area.

Ski Childcare & Children’s Ski Lessons

We have led the childcare concept for UK families on skiing holidays for the last 35 years and our programme is constantly reviewed and refined, with previous guest feedback always the key element in further enhancing the experience.

For parents, Classic Childcare means being able to leave your accommodation after breakfast to head for the first lifts, only needing to return after the last one shuts. We look after your children completely throughout the ski day if you wish.

While the babies and toddlers go to our Nursery, staff take the older ones to our partner ski-school, collect them, give them lunch, run activities to keep them happy and stimulated and then take them back to their chalets for their high tea, giving you our super-convenient ‘Seamless Service’ throughout the day.

Why Choose us?

  • 35 years experience as the UK’s leading family ski specialist
  • The biggest choice of childcare services in skiing
  • Flexible childcare options, from half-days up to our 'Seamless Service' from 9am-6pm
  • Strict ratios of nannies to children in all our Nurseries
  • All nannies properly qualified and English-speaking
  • All childcare staff are subject to the new Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Check (formerly the 'CRB' check) in line with the UK's legal requirements for anyone working regularly and closely with children.

  • Strict signing-in/out procedures for all ages whenever responsibility for children passes between staff or ski instructors and parents

This traditional mountain village sits at a high 1930m in Austria’s Oztal valley. Obergurgl is renowned as a snow sure resort with some of Austria’s highest altitudes, making it well worth a visit if you’re travelling particularly early or late in the season. Scattered with upmarket accommodation, the village itself blends a luxury touch with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. It has a vibrant character, and alpine charm with many a Tyrolean tradition found in the town and on the mountains in popular slope...
Many highly regarded ski schools are on hand for beginners – there's a gentle learning slope at the resort for picking up the basics. A mini club and ski kindergarten are available at the Obergurgl Ski School where skiing is taught in a fun and safe environment for little ones just starting. The Top-express Gondola takes you to Hochgurgl's higher altitudes. Wide pistes and amazing snow make this the perfect area for progressing beginners to test their abilities. After steadying those legs, work your way up t...
The après starts on the mountains where there are many bars ready to serve skiers that well-deserved pick me up of warm glühwein. The skis come off at the lively Nederhütte, just above the resort, where merry skiers mingle with drinks accompanied by live music before getting up on the tables when the real party starts. The gondola next to the bar will take those a little unsteady on their skis back to the resort - when these close, skidoos run everyone back to base. Hohe Mut is another favourite amongst sk...
