Location: where is Haus Glacier

Haus Glacier is on the high street in the very heart of the town centre. It is just a 5 minute walk to either the Gornergrat train or the Sunnegga funicular to access the pistes. The bus stop where you catch the shuttle bus to the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise lift is also just a five minute walk from the chalet.

Overview: chalet description: Haus Glacier description

A rather smart private lift takes you from the high street up to the exclusive Haus Glacier. Once inside the tranquil apartment it is difficult to imagine that you are in the very heart of Zermatt and far above the non-stop buzz of the village bars and restaurants. The apartment sleeps six in  understated elegance, with a large comfortable lounge and smart bedrooms with designer bathrooms. There are wrap-around balconies for both sunrise coffee and a relaxing drink as the sun goes down after a hard day on the hill

We update Haus Glacier's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Zermatt belongs to Switzerland's Valais canton, which rubs shoulders with the Italian Alps. You'll find it surrounded by nearly a third of Europe's 4000m peaks and, most notably, right at the foot of the Matterhorn. Even if you haven't heard of this mountain, chances are you'd recognise it - national landmark of Switzerland, the inspiration for the Toblerone and a peak photographed more than any other. Besides the picturesque scenery, these mighty mountains come with a cool climate, ever-white glaciers and ...
There are 200km of runs in the local area alone and a massive 360km overall if you count the Matterhorn's Italian side. With Cervina, Zermatt forms the 'Matterhorn Ski Paradise' where SNO lovers of all abilities are blessed with high altitude terrain - and lots of it! Everyone's a winner in a ski area this big and brilliant. Still, if we had to pick where it shines, we'd say it's incredibly fantastic for intermediate and advanced level skiers and snowboarders. If you're a keen beginner, you'll love Zermatt,...
Zermatt has voted the world's best après ski resort by the World Snow Awards in the past, making it a wise choice if you want a whale of a time post-skiing. Sure – it doesn't come cheap, but you won't find better if you want quality. Across sixty bars and numerous nightclubs, you can relax, unwind and party through the night. Harry's Bar is the place to dance to cheesy pop and Papperla offers a pubby atmosphere, but you can't come to Zermatt without being tempted into the Hennu Stall (at the end of the Furi-Ze...

Amazing trip with our royal hosts Harry, Will and Kate (Kat) these guys delivered an incredible experience Harry stepped up to the plate and delivered fantastic food with nothing being too much trouble. The resort is one of the best places I have been, Zermatt is a beautiful town with great nightlife we spent our last night drinking in Hennu Stall which rocked and the ski down after many Toffee vodkas was awesome!

We had Harry as a chalet host and he cooked evening meals that we're tasty, interesting and generally too large to finish! Wine selection to go with the food is excellent. Molton Brown bathroom goodies is a nice touch. Extra pillows or a choice would be nice.

As there were only 4 guests in the Chalet we missed the sociability of a chalet with more guests that we have previously enjoyed. We also thought that the cost of food/beverages on the mountain and in the resort was excessive for not any particular quality. There were certainly fewer people around in general and we wondered if the cost might be becoming prohibitive for a lot of people.
