Overview: chalet description: Grand Pré 4 description

An exceptional new ski in/ski out four-bedroom apartment with shared pool and spa facilities

One of the world’s most sophisticated ski resorts has just stepped up a notch with the completion of a stunning new property, offering luxurious living, outstanding views, and superb wellness facilities. We’re delighted to introduce Val d’Isère’s latest jewel, Grand Pré 4, a split-level penthouse apartment spanning three floors and sleeping up to eight guests in four bedrooms.

Guests can ski right to the door of this fabulous Val d’Isère home which overlooks the La Face piste and once there, indulge in fantastic shared spa facilities or simply soak up the majesty of the mountains from one of the apartment’s vantage points. Bold architecture, exquisite furnishings and rich fabrics have teamed together to create a mountain home that will exceed expectations.

You enter through the main door which is on the third floor of the building. There is a large ski and boot room adjacent to the entrance with ample space for equipment and there is storage for coats and winter accessories in the reception area. To the right of this, you will be drawn into the dazzling open plan lounge and dining area. There is a wonderful sense of space here as a result of the double height ceilings and large windows which allow the room to be saturated in natural light by day and, by night, frame a surreal moonlit mountain landscape. Reclaimed wooden walls and ceilings ensure the space is warm and timeless. A ladder leads up to a cosy library at the mezzanine level.

The sophisticated living area, with a plush and inviting L-shaped sofa and arm chairs, is the perfect place to relax and indulge in the stunning views. A wood-burning fireplace is built into the wall where there is a large screen TV too. Step out through glass doors onto the wide balcony and enjoy an apéro in the fading embers of the day. The living area flows into the generous dining area where the table seats up to eight guests. This area is looked over by a sleek modern kitchen, fully equipped for catering.

The first of the four bedrooms is on the other side of the entrance hall. There is a shower room in this en-suite, the smallest of the bedrooms. There is also a guest WC on this level. A short staircase leads you to the next floor where you’ll find two sumptuous en-suite bedrooms, a WC and a laundry. The bedrooms are both very spacious and both enjoy mounted TVs and shower rooms. One of the rooms opens out to a small private balcony with exceptional south-facing views.

Continuing up the stairs, you will reach the loft-style fourth bedroom, the sumptuous master bedroom. The designer’s immaculate attention to detail has not been forgotten in this gorgeous adult retreat tucked into the eaves of the building. A large en-suite bathroom offers both a shower-hammam and a bath and there is a mounted TV in the bedroom. Guests will delight in the balcony, an idyllic place to enjoy a coffee in the morning sunshine.

The luxurious apartment is one of four that share a refined spa area on the building’s first floor presided over by a heated swimming pool and a sauna completes this tranquil space, perfect for indulging tired, ski-weary muscles.

An expansive parking garage, with two dedicated parking places with electric car charging ports, occupies the lowest level of the building.

In France's Rhone Alp region, Val d'Isere (pronounced: val de saire/sare/ser or val d sere) is widely thought of as one of the most brilliant and beautiful ski areas in the world. In keeping with the giddyingly gorgeous surroundings, the resort itself is one of France's prettiest - a huddle alpine hamlets formed from cosy wood and stone chalets. With the original village dating back to the 13th century and a Christmas-card-worthy church steeple at its centre, there’s alpine charm by the bucket load. While dre...
Skiers in Val d'Isere are schussing in the tracks of some of the world's greatest skiers. Olympic medallists Marielle and Christine Goitschel learned to ski here, not to mention triple gold winner Jean-Claude Killy, after whom the wider ski area is named. As an indication of this place's premier status - the resort has hosted championships including the 1992 Olympics, the World Alpine Ski Championships in 2009 and World Cup events every December. If some of the best skiers in history have learned here, begi...
Famed for its après ski, there's no chance of a dull evening in Val. Living up to its name, you'll experience ‘sweet madness' at the original Le Folie Douce, which brings you some of the best après ski in Europe - including dancers, musicians, raining champagne and much more... Once that closes, Dicks T Bar's a local legend, staying open into the early hours each night. Bananas is another firm favourite, much loved for its crafty cocktails and slope-side location. In Val d'Isere's 90-something restaurants, ...
