It's hard to get much more central than the Grand Hotel des Alpes as it's right in the centre of the pedestrianised main street, with everything on your doorstep.
The Grand Hotel des Alpes dates back to 1840 and has retained its original character along with rustic charm. It offers luxurious accommodation in the heart of Chamonix and the rooms and suites are decorated in a typical alpine style, filled with lots of old wood and boasting spectacular views over the Mont Blanc or Brevent mountains.
You can relax in the hotel bar or in the traditional lounge next to the open fire place and admire the views of the Mont Blanc. Alternatively, you can enjoy the superb facilities in the wellness centre including a swimming pool with wave machine, a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room.
The hotel also offers a complimentary shuttle service to the lifts.
