This British, women-led operator’s on a venture to provide realistically priced, boutique style ski accommodation and holidays that are high quality as well as down to earth - they’ve been doing a sterling job at it.

These holidays come first and foremost in the form of beautiful chalets - some catered, some self-catered and all in the legendary resort of Meribel. The operator also offer a collection of delightful ski hotels in several other resorts across the Alps. Travel’s not included with Fish & Pips packages, but we can certainly help with that side of things - let us know what you need.

We love how Fish & Pips are working hard to reduce their environmental impact - they’ve taken steps like buying in bulk, reducing food and paper waste and encourage eco-friendly travel and recycling.

Fish & Pips Catered Chalets

Have a flick through the photos of these properties and you’ll see that some chalets are decorated in traditional alpine style while others have more of a contemporary look and feel. They come filled with things to help you unwind, for example hot tubs, saunas, fluffy dressing gowns, posh toiletries, comfy furnishings and more... Details like energy-boosting chocolate bars for a slope-side snack also go down a treat!

The Fish & Pips team are trained to ensure you’re wined, dined and well looked after. Six days of catering includes a varied breakfast, afternoon tea with snacks and a slap-up evening meal (usually five courses). This also comes with unlimited hand-picked wine. That said - if you’d prefer something a bit lighter, just say the words and they’ll work around your needs. Something else chalet hosts will take care of for the week is the cleaning and tidying – the aim’s to make you feel at home but delightfully chore-free.

Knowing Meribel inside out, staff should be able to point you in the direction of the best places to go for ski hire, lift passes, lessons, massages and more - often snagging you a good deal while they’re at it.

Fish & Pips Family Chalets

If you’re bringing the brood, some of these packages are specifically designed with families in mind. Much time and thought has been given to sorting out the kit that families might need such as highchairs and cots. Early children’s mealtimes can be a godsend when it comes to keeping up with their usual routines and letting you enjoy some adult company later-on.

Fish & Pips Self-Catered Chalets

If you love the cosiness of chalet accommodation but prefer to be in charge of catering, the self-catered properties in this collection are just the ticket. Differing very little from catered chalets, these usually come with all the same features - Savoyard charm by the shedload and perks like wellness facilities - apart from the chalet host and chefs! Coming in the form of standard chalets and chalet apartments, they sleep somewhere around 4-12 guests. A concierge service is still included, so you’ll have someone to ask about anything you might need. Using their local resort knowledge, reps might even be able to point you in the direction of their favourite bakery or restaurant. Some self-catering extras can be added, such as meal deliveries if you don’t fancy cooking every night.

Serviced self-catered chalets are available for those who like to sort the food, but perhaps not all the clearing up that goes with it. Staff can help with jobs like emptying the dishwasher, taking out the bins and making the beds. You’d also have access to a driver service if you need a lift out and about, and the possibility of arranging a chef-cooked meal (or two).

Fish & Pips Ski Hotels

On top of their chalet collection, this supplier have hand picked several hotels in resorts across the Alps. From Scandanavian chic to Savoyard charm, there are plenty of styles to choose between. They’ll often be on a bed & breakfast basis, allowing flexibility for the rest of your meals. Perks tend to include a bar and restaurant where guests can relax, eat, drink and socialise and facilities like swimming pools.

Fish & Pips Brand & History

Fish & Pips was started a dozen or so years ago by two family friends (nicknamed ‘Fish’ and ‘Pips’), who used their previous experience of working for various ski companies to come up with one of their own, creating what they consider to be the perfect recipe for a ski holiday. As well as ski holidays, Fish & Pips offers summer holidays in several European destinations. Their sister company, Abinger Cookery School, influences the food and drink menus on these holidays.

The UK office is in lovely Surrey but some of the team are based in Meribel itself, because they love it so much!
