Iconic Status

The Fairmont name is renowned for its world class service and iconic buildings. Set into Blackcomb Mountain with a stunning backdrop of trees and snow, the Fairmont Chateau Whistler is no different. Inside the hotel you will find an impressive chateau-style grand lobby with high ceilings and lavish furnishings.

You will be based next to the lifts at the foot of the Blackcomb Mountain with great ski-in and ski-out access. It’s also not far from the village centre either, an easy five minute walk or complimentary shuttle away.

Drinks & Dining

You’ll find several bars and restaurants at the Fairmont where you can enjoy everything from a casual drink to fine dining. The Grill Rooms serves up some of the best steaks and seafood in British Columbia and the Mallard Terrace bar is not to be missed for a social après drink by the fire pits.

Wellness

If you're looking for some peace and quiet, the hotel's health club gives you access to an 60ft. heated lap pool with underwater music, indoor/outdoor heated leisure pool, multiple whirlpools, hot tubs, saunas, steam rooms and firepit. We recommend treating yourself to at least one of the renowned treatments and massages at the ‘Vida Spa’, bookable locally.

Fairmont Rooms have one King or two Queen size beds. They are spacious at 37m² with a seating area and can sleep up to four. * Upgrade to Fairmont Gold Room available on this room type.

Deluxe View Rooms offer stunning vistas of Whistler Valley, Rainbow Mountain or Woodland.

Deluxe Slopeside Rooms face Blackcomb Mountain and the slopes.

Junior Suite Valley View Rooms are bigger at 44m² and feature a bedroom separated by French doors to a luxurious living area, complete with a fireplace. They can sleep up to two adults and a child are on available on request.

The Wildflower has a warm and inviting ambiance and is open for breakfast and dinner. If you pre-book breakfast or half board, this is where you will enjoy your morning buffet or a la carte breakfast. Evening dinner service features innovative classics and locally inspired dishes in a family-friendly restaurant setting.

Portobello is located in the lower lobby of the hotel and offers a more casual setting to enjoy a light snack, homemade soup or hot or cold drink. When dinner service is offered, half board guests can enjoy delicious smokehouse and BBQ inspired dinners.

The Grill Room is the place to eat if you fancy some chops, steak or seafood. Treat yourself and dine by the Grill Room's signature stone fireplace and warm, rich decor. For guests choosing half board please note a $35CAD surcharge per person applies on select items, payable locally.

The Mallard Lounge is casual but refined and serves up the finest Canadian and West Coast food. Expect master mixologists and live après ski entertainment throughout the winter.

The Chalet is a fondue restaurant offering hearty alpine cuisine. Be sure to save some room for an amazing chocolate fondue dessert.

Please note some restaurant are seasonal. Where applicable, half board evening meals include 3 courses (appetizer, main and dessert) and non-alcoholic drinks. The Fairmont is a lovely hotel, we liked the food, facilities, friendliness and just the informal atmosphere. Everyone was really welcoming and the whole place is very comfortable. The spa is amazing! If I had to suggest one thing, it’s to bring your ID to the outdoor hot tub (which is lovely!) if you want a glass of bubbly – my 27 year old daughter got ID’d in it (you don’t want to have to go back up to your room having already changed into your swimming costume!). The hotel has easy access to going out in the evenings, you just get a taxi to the restaurants. The breakfast buffet was huge, absolutely huge! You could still order off the menu but really most of what’s on the menu is in the buffet anyway. They had chefs on the spot who’d cook you pancakes etc. For a big place it was quite organised, we always managed to get a seat. It’s not a cheap hotel, it’s on the pricier end, but I would definitely recommend it.
