Location - where is Darkoum Makan

Darkoum Makan is beautifully positioned in a peaceful and extremely exclusive neighbourhood of Courchevel 1850, enjoying spectacular views of the Bozel valley and less than 100 metres from the Bellecote piste (Green) which winds gently into Courchevel centre and the main Croisette lifts. For those that choose not to make use of our driver service, it is a 15 minute walk to the village centre.

Overview - chalet description - Darkoum Makan description

Darkoum is a four storey, freestanding chalet containing just three wonderful apartments (Darkoum Kalo, Lama and Makan). We’ve become attached to our adopted exclusive suburb of 1850 and these three properties are in the same killer location, just across the road from the gentle Bellecote piste into the resort centre, making it virtually ski-in ski-out and perfect for families.
Darkoum Makan is the smallest of our three Darkoum apartments, nestled in the eves on the top floor of the property and accommodates up to 6 guests.  Ok, so it doesn’t have a fireplace, but small bijou chalets for four are gold dust, not least in the fabulous ski resort of Courchevel 1850. This little gem is completely independent, nestled in the eaves of Darkoum and has a dedicated chalet host. It has an open-plan living/dining room with flat screen TV, Blu-ray DVD player, Apple TV and a Bluetooth soundbar.
There are three bedrooms, each can be arranged as a double or twin, one with an en-suite bathroom and two (one with en suite shower) that share a family bathroom and WC.
This chalet has bags of character and is perfect for a family, we recommend Darkoum Makan for four people because of the cosy lounge but it can accommodate up to six guests.  It may not be the right choice if you are tall as the living area and bedrooms have vaulted ceiling and therefore limited headroom in places.

We update Darkoum Makan's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

This package holiday to Darkoum Makan in Courchevel, France departs Wednesday 27th December 2017, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. Divided into five villages - each known by its altitude - the Courchevel area provides a series of settings to suit different tastes, group make-ups and budgets. For pure, champagne-popping indulgence, VIP area Courchevel 1850 oozes exclusivity and no-limits luxury. It's the largest and highest of the villages, and with a private airport, twelve Michelin stars between its restaurants, two palace hotels and a bundle of designer boutiques, it's a seriously swanky stomping ground for the fashionable, famous and aff...
Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, a socking great 60% of slopes here are beginner friendly. There's a 'Stop Zone' where learners can safely conquer the basics before hitting the slopes, and 4 beginner areas (called Zen Zones) where you can gently progress – find two in the main area and one each in Moriond and Le Praz. As part of the effort to making the resort child friendly, fun for sprogs the focus of the Indiens piste, where little ones can enjoy face painting, a treasure trail and many...
Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in Le Stanleys or Les Ducs de Savoie, two of the resort's many piano bars; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or head to La Grange or L'Arc (formally Les Caves) for an uber posh clubbing scene. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar. Les Schuss is good for a quiet drink in a traditional Savoyarde setting and if you're looking for live music and a vibrant atmosphere, try Roc...
