· ski-in and ski-out on Merlin's Run on Blackcomb Mountain · 5 minutes' ski/walk down to Blackcomb Village and the Wizard Express chairlift · shuttle bus to Whistler Village stops at the hotel (first bus departs from the hotel at 7.44am, and the last bus back to the hotel from the village departs at 1am)
No Whistler property has better ski-in, ski-out access than the Blackcomb Springs Suites – right on the side of Blackcomb Mountain, you can pick up your ski equipment from the in-house Whistler Blackcomb ski hire shop, pop on your skis in the morning and off you go.
The property itself is charming. As you walk in you'll notice the huge rustic chandelier that hangs from the ceiling in the lobby - have a closer look and you'll see its finer details including numerous fur trees and moose that run along the outside. This wilderness theme carries on throughout the lobby with wooden beams that run along the ceiling and lots of paintings of bears dotted along its walls. It has a real cosy feel, and the rooms do too. Each room is newly renovated for winter 18/19 and comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, a lounge with a fireplace and a balcony, some overlooking the pool and the slopes - if you fancy an evening in, we don't blame you. And every floor has a washing machine and dryer, so you don't have to worry if you've not packed enough socks.
You’re not even slowed down by having to cook breakfast as a continental buffet is included each morning and fresh waffles are always on the menu. The pool and hot tubs are slopeside, and there's even a little fitness area inside if you haven't worn yourself out on Whistler's slopes. The hotel also houses a shop selling sweets and treats for when you're feeling a little peckish, and there's complimentary tea and coffee in the lobby, as well as hot chocolate for the kids.
Being up the mountain means that you’re a little further from Whistler Village, but it’s still easy to get there on the free regular shuttle bus which runs until 1am - and the quiet surroundings will ensure a peaceful night's sleep.
