Overview - chalet description - Chalet St Christophe description

Chalet St Christophe (sleeps 8). The St.Christophe is part of an attractive property built into the side of the mountain positioned close to the centre of 1850 and neighbouring hotels of Rond Point des Pistes and The Chabichou. For those looking for a great position at great prices offering excellent value, the St Christophe is a super option and popular with many.

The apartment-style chalet is perhaps a little dated but is absolutely charming and the large living/dining room has a wonderful open log fire and sliding french doors leading to a superb balcony from which to watch the falling sun each evening, maybe over a chilled glass of the House Rose. There are four bedrooms (2 of which have no natural light although they are well designed and bright and airy) that are well thought and and all of which have their own bath/shower rooms.

La Croisette containing the main 1850 bubble lifts  is only a 3 minute slight downhill walk so access to the skiing is absolutely brilliant. The many wonderful shops, bars and restaurants for which 1850 is now famous are all on your doorstep so all in all, the Christophe is definitely one for the short-list.

The St Christophe is run by one of our carefully-selected chalet hosts who will look after you during your stay and who lives in a separate apartment nearby.

We offer our properties on a flexible catering basis therefore providing our guests with as much choice as possible when choosing a fully-catered, part-catered or self-catered chalet or apartment. Your preferences will be discussed at the time of booking and a tailor-made itinerary will be costed based on your requirements.

Our chalet hosts all enjoy cooking and take pride in what they serve and whilst they are not necessarily qualified chefs, they have good experience of dinner party cooking and many of them will have attended one of the well-regarded cookery schools with whom we work closely to ensure the highest calibre of staff possible.

If choosing the fully catered or part catered option, you will be assured of good home-cooked food prepared and served by our specially selected chalet hosts. We do not offer luxury items or haute cuisine, we serve good wholesome hearty food fit for anyone after a hard day on the slopes. Menus will be varied and may include local dishes as well as the more traditional UK favourites such as roasts, lasagne or casseroles.

Our menus have been formed over many years taking into account previous guests’ likes and recommendations and whilst we believe this plan to offer excellent variety, there will be the odd occasion when a dish might not be well-received. We would ask you therefore that if you have any specific dietary requirements or a yearning for dishes in particular, you enquire before booking your holiday and provide us with as much notice as possible regarding specific diets such as vegetarian, vegan, celiac or non-dairy etc.

We update Chalet St Christophe's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Ideal for those at the genesis of their skiing career, a socking great 60% of slopes here are beginner friendly. Après ski in 1850 is the height of sophistication. Enjoy a cosy fireside cocktail in Le Stanleys or Les Ducs de Savoie, two of the resort's many piano bars; sample fine wine and champagne in Le P'tit Drink or head to La Grange or L'Arc (formally Les Caves) for an uber posh clubbing scene. Down in 1650, you can fully appreciate the stunning surroundings at The Signal bar. Les Schuss is good for a quiet drink in a traditional Savoyarde setting and if you're looking for live music and a vibrant atmosphere, try Roc...
