Location: where is Chalet Serpolet

Meribel is a large and scattered resort, don't be confused, there are many smaller villages such as Raffort, Chandon and Les Allues, up to 6kms away, from the centre. This chalet is located in the centre, however, the centre does not mean that the shops, bars and main lift area are all on your doorstep. All our chalets are located all around the resort centre, and only a ten minute or less walk to the shops and bars. The main lift area is slightly beyond this and although you could walk. Located in the heart of Meribel, this chalet is already an established favourite in the centre of town and is only a 5-minute walk to the town centre.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Serpolet description

The chalet is situated in the exclusive Pins Cembros Cul-de-sac in the centre of Meribel. This is a quiet and calm location that is still an easy stroll to town and the resort amenities.

This highly sought-after chalet features five ensuite bedrooms over three floors. There is an outdoor jacuzzi, sauna, Cinema and games room. The Chalet has generous proportions and you will have plenty of space to enjoy your stay.
The large lounge is separate from the kitchen and has double aspect French windows with fabulous views of the ski area. There is an open fire in the lounge and the balconies face South and West with sun throughout the winter.
Access to the chalet is by the ground floor garage that has boot dryers and ski storage area.

GETTING TO THE SLOPES

There is a minibus service is at the beginning and the end of the day. Our drivers travel the short trip, back and forth from our chalets during these times ot get you to the main lift area and to your lessons. See further details here

Meribus is the free bus service which runs regularly from 07:15 to 00:30 seven days per week during the winter and there is a stop just at the end of the small cul-de-sac the chalet in situated in. This service has frequent buses, every 15 minutes, less frequent during the day, but still a few an hour. There is a bus timetable available in the chalet. Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made, and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A traditional alpine village with choc-box chale...
Meribel is one of the best ski resorts to learn in. There are three beginner areas known as 'Ski Facile' (easy ski) plus great green pistes to practise on including Le Foret and Altiport. Both runs are carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings. If you're skiing with children, there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees at the 'Pistes des Animaux' where children can learn about local wildlife as they e...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It's said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its nightl...

"Very, very nice week"

Very, very nice week at Serpolet. Weather was miserable when we arrived but soon cheered up. However, the snow was wonderful and got better and better....shame I couldnt take advantage of it post day 3 as I broke my leg! Lauren and Gavin are lovely and I was very impressed with their lovely manner and organisation. The food was great....SO much of it too (Mary Berry eat your heart out re. lauren's afternoon tea's). We were lucky enough to have booked the first room so got the best one. My only criticism of the stay was that having a super-king bed there really should be a super-king duvet, we had to get an additional single to cover the gap on one side so we didn't wrestle for the cover all night! Also, with only one mirror in the bathroom, which was small, it's difficult to manage the sharing without elbows getting involved!! Plenty of room to add an additional one in the room somewhere so would suggest that for sanity's sake. But, if those are the worst things then really nothing much to complain about at all. Well done Gavin & Lauren......have a fabulous holiday when you leave Meribel!

Thank you for an amazing family holiday in Chalet Serpolet. What fun we had! Our hosts Rhys and Leanne were tremendous. They went the extra mile to make our holiday extra special, with a birthday surprise cake and balloons, for our six year old. The food was delicious and nothing was too much trouble for them. Standard of accommodation and food was exceptional. The mini bus service to the lifts and town was greatly appreciated. This all contributed to a fabulous family holiday with lovely happy memories. We have stayed with other chalet companies in Meribel, but this operator gave us the best holiday ever.

Smashing chalet. We were looked after by Lauren & Gavin who did an excellent job, we were made to feel at home right from the beginning. The drivers Elliot, Rory & Max were very helpful often doing more than dropping us off or picking us up. We made use of the hot tub every night! Short walk into the town for drinks or shopping and close to the Meribel bus stops.
