Overview: chalet description: Chalet Sapinière II description

The Sapinière II and its sister chalet (Sapinière I) sit nestled into the hillside, on the slopes above La Croisette area in Les Menuires. It makes a convenient (and great value) base from which to explore the world's largest linked ski area - the 600km Three Valleys.

The chalet is part of a recently-built hamlet in a quiet spot of the resort. It's been nicely furnished with comfy beds and sofas plus a fireplace in the lounge/diner as well as a balcony for some far-reaching views. Sit and enjoy a spot of afternoon tea in front of the fire, catching up with friends on your day.

For more relaxation, try the small shared spa area which you have access to a couple of times a week. It has a steam room, hot tub and sauna as well as a relaxation area to really unwind. There is a small charge for using the facilities, but you can pay for this locally.

There's a small Fir wood behind the chalet (Sapinière is French for Fir) so your views are either of the woods or the slopes. The nearest lift is just beyond the trees so confident skiers and boarders can get to the lifts in no time.

Les Menuires centre and the main Croisette area is about a 15-minute walk down the gentle pistes. You'll have plenty of excellent bars, restaurants and shopping to choose from making this a really great choice if you're looking for Three Valleys skiing without the premium prices!

The ground floor has a club double room with its own ensuite bathroom with over bath shower and wc and a club twin room with private shower room and wc.

Meals: Chalet Sapinière II food & drink

Our chalet board basis is designed for skiers and boarders. Breakfast is a fairly extensive affair with cooked and continental options every day. Your daily afternoon tea of freshly baked cakes and biscuits will be waiting for you when you come in from the slopes.

Evening meals are a three-course set-menu with regionally inspired dishes and free-flowing wine throughout the week, all followed by fresh coffee. We provide evening meals on six nights a week leaving you free to head out and explore the resort on one evening.

We update Chalet Sapinière II's details often, but facilities do change. e.g. some extras listed by the supplier as "free" or included might only be for the first time you use them, or for one time per party, then charged for further use. If any specific feature is essential to your holiday, make sure you ask us to confirm the details of it before you book your holiday.

Together with Saint Martin De Belleville and Val Thorens, Les Menuires (say it Lay-Men-Weer) is part of the Vallée des Belleville and is the cheapest base for skiing in the 3 Valleys. This purpose-built resort is more focussed on the practical than the aesthetic. Le Menuires is split into five villages - Preyerand, La Croisette, Les Fontanettes, Reberty and Les Bruyères, all linked by walking paths, ski runs, shuttle buses and lifts. Les Bruyères or Reberty have the sloping roofs and wood-cladding the Al...
The resort has aimed to provide a wide variety for all abilities – and the proof is in the pudding! The opportunities are outstanding for skiers and snowboarders, but you would expect no less considering it is a part of the world's largest ski area. Novices will find five free lifts either end of the resort for getting to grips on gentle little green runs and longer greens such as La Violette at the top of the gondola from La Croisette. With a healthy mix of reds and blue runs covering the vast majori...
End a day of skiing on the large sun terrace in L'Oisans and sit down in the sunshine with a jug of beer. Kick back with a cocktail or shoot some pool in the cosy Piano Bar Le Kube. Sports games can be watched on the TVs at Café Snack. If you ski over to Val Thorens be sure to go for some drinks at the famous Folie Douce. Those looking for some late-night action have 2 night clubs to choose between; Le New Pop in La Croisette or Le Liberty in Les Bruyères - an intimate underground bar with seats fashioned like...
