Lovely views from the chalet, Meribel village has great access to the three valleys and is an easy bus to the main Meribel center. Our host Rosie was brilliant, fantastic food and loads of it. A bit of a shame the chalet itself is not more traditional, but it is functional and the open fireplace is magnificent ... + more

Chalet was compact and bijou! Did what it said on the tin. Hosts were lovely but company could let them join us for supper. Ensuite's were tiny! Highly recommend the location and company. My only complaint is that the WiFi was appalling! Add value by improving this. + more

This package holiday to Chalet Rosalie One in Meribel & Mottaret, France departs Saturday 7th April 2018, for a 7 night stay on a "catered chalet" board basis. A local tourist tax (Taxe de Sejour or Kurtaxe) is levied by many councils in European ski resorts. It varies by standard and type of accommodation and is age dependent, so not everyone is charged. It's not included in the basic price of your holiday and is usually paid locally. For reference, the average charged in winter 15/16 was between 50p and £2 per person, per night.

3 Valleys ski area Excellent ski schools Lively après ski

Meribel has a special place in many Brit's hearts – not simply because it’s right in the middle of the biggest ski area on Earth. A resort for long ski days, ski-boot-stomping après and cosy chalets, there’s a great deal to do and ski here, which is why many of us have been coming back for decades.

Meribel's location is tricky to beat, slap bang in the centre of the mammoth Three Valleys ski area. British made and largely Brit run, it's a destination we flock to year after year for a homely atmosphere in a good looking resort with more than enough pistes for a week (or three). It's made up of a huddle of gorgeous hamlets, built in traditional wood and stone and surrounded by thick woodland. The main area is Meribel Centre (usually known just as Meribel). A trad alpine village with choc-box chalets, th...
With three beginner areas known as ‘Zen Zones' plus some good greens to practice on including Le Foret, Altiport and the Cool Moon area (carefully planned out so you can practice at your own pace in quiet surroundings), Meribel's one of the best ski resorts to learn in. If you're skiing with little ones there are fantastic ski schools and child-orientated areas, including animal sculptures scattered around the trees. Moon Wild is a special area where children can learn about local wildlife as they enjoy the s...
Whether your day on the hill leaves you wanting to relax with a vin chaud, have a pint and play pool, or party the night away, your time off the slopes can be as varied as the day spent cruising the incredible Trois Vallees. It’s said that you haven't experienced après ski here (or anywhere for that matter) until you've sampled toffee vodka in Le Rond Point, which is easily one of the most famous après ski bars in the world - complete with a slide down to the toilets! Meribel's rightly famous for its night...

Lovely views from the chalet, Meribel village has great access to the three valleys and is an easy bus to the main Meribel center. Our host Rosie was brilliant, fantastic food and loads of it. A bit of a shame the chalet itself is not more traditional, but it is functional and the open fireplace is magnificent (definitely makes up for the lack of character elsewhere in the chalet). ...nothing is too much trouble for the staff and the transfers are blessedly painless.
