Location: where is Chalet Regina

· 4 minutes' walk to the Nasserein lift · 15 minutes' walk to the resort centre · close to the quieter bars of Nasserein

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Regina description

The bright and spacious Chalet Regina is a favourite with customers. It's got a great location in the Nasserein end of town, just a couple of minutes' walk to the Nasserein gondola and, under normal conditions, there's a ski run-off to around 50 metres from the back door. Nasserein is considered to be the quieter part of St Anton, with a few relaxed bars on your doorstep. If you're after a more lively night out you can reach St Anton's pedestrianised centre in well under 10 minutes - and it's virtually flat all the way too.

When you get back from the mountain, there's a storage room with heated boot racks for stashing your ski gear. Once you're de-kitted, you can warm up in the wellness suite with sauna, infrared cabin and whirlpool bath or even hit the treadmill in the fitness room. On the off-chance you start to miss home, the ground floor has a large TV room with UK channels, comfy leather sofas and free WiFi. Upstairs on the top floor is a more chilled-out space with board games - again with plenty of room to lounge and perhaps enjoy an after-dinner drink.

With the services of the chalet team, you'll get hearty breakfasts, tasty afternoon cakes and beautifully presented evening meals along with lashings of chalet wine. And on the team's night off you can enjoy one of the many traditional Austrian or international restaurants St Anton has to offer.

Brimming with traditional Austrian charm but with all the conveniences of a modern resort, St Anton's vast, high altitude ski area and vibrant atmosphere make it truly world class. It's one of the major international destinations that everyone must visit at least once (and is likely to return to frequently thereafter). Two minutes from the train station and less than an hour's drive from Innsbruck airport, it's a conveniently accessible resort. The main village is traffic free and stretches for about 1km - dot...
It's often said that if you learn to ski or snowboard here, you're likely to find any other resort an utter breeze... Just don't do a Bridget Jones (her memorable descent in 'Edge of Reason' took place on one of the more challenging Arlberg runs) and make sure to take advantage of the excellent tuition on offer. Thanks to local legend Hannes Schneider, St Anton opened the first ski school in 1921. The Skischule Arlberg continues to provide excellent tuition today, so beginners are in good hands. There's a nurs...
The après ski here is absolutely legendary: the atmosphere is constantly buzzing and with a night bus running until 3am, you can really make the most of your evening. You'll find about 20 bars offering a variety of scenes, but to experience après ski at its best you can't leave until you've joined the masses and danced on the tables at world-famous Mooserwirt or The Crazy Kangaroo (Krazy Kanguruh). While it's reputation is lively (and the resort lives up to it) there are lots of options if you prefer a more so...

"Christmas @ Chalet Regina"

Stuart Genet & family, Fife
4/ out of 5
This was a very nice chalet; we’ve been in other chalets on other occasions that have been a bit run down, but this one was perfectly fine. Regarding the location, the whole area is so easy to get around, so there were no problems there. We booked twin rooms which were both quite spacious, no problems there. The food was good quality and they did a Christmas meal which was nice. One issue we had however was that we have two growing lads of 23 and 19 and the portions just weren’t big enough for them, they were always starving. We ended up requesting more food for them and going out to get more food. It was ok for adults or children but there were other boys of a similar age staying in the same chalet and they had the same problem. The meals were perfectly wholesome and enjoyable – it was just the quantity. The staff were live-in and they were all very pleasant. We ski at Christmas to escape the commercialism of Christmas back home and sadly there was a bit too much Christmas music for our liking - the chalet host played it constantly! It was driving the majority of guests a bit mad and ended up as a game of hijacking the CD’s from the host who would hijack them back! Overall a very good stay.
