Location: where is Chalet Orbite du Soleil

Belle Plagne. At 2050m this chalet is located in the highest and yet one of the most central villages in La Plagne. Orbite du Soleil is south-facing, offering a bounty of balcony views and the access to the ski slopes of Belle Plagne is excellent. You can either ski down to the village centre, ski lifts, ski school meeting point, restaurants and shops or opt for the 300m (approx.) footpath route. Either way, the pedestrianised nature of the resort makes it easy to get from the chalet to anywhere local and the resort bus which stops just a couple minutes’ walk from the chalet will get you everywhere else you want to go in the collection of villages which make up La Plagne.

Overview: chalet description: Chalet Orbite du Soleil description

Brand new to our programme for the 2019/20 ski season, Chalet Orbite du Soleil, set in a collection of semi-detached chalets is clad in pine with slate roofs, wooden balconies, stone features and crisp white exterior walls. It has a stylish motif possibly not expected in La Plagne and it’s refreshing to see the attention to detail outside also transposed to the interior design. Just the right amount of traditional wood and stone features gives way to more modern furnishings and fittings; crisp precision yet relaxing and uncomplicated.

There’s a variety of bed configurations, private or en suite bathrooms and plenty of communal space in the living area, which is complete with open fireplace, comfy seating and flat-screen TV. This chalet is a wonderful, relaxed space for groups or couples alike.

Chalet Orbite du Soleil has access to a sauna and hot tub in the complex which is payable locally at 20 euros for your whole chalet to have a 45 minute session, and open from 5:00-7:00pm, Monday to Friday. A wonderful way to relax together and share skiing stories.

In the French Alps' Savoie region, La Plagne was established in the early sixties and now consists of 11 villages: 7 purpose built villages and 4 traditional villages. The aptly named Plagne Centre at the heart of the resort is the main hub of shops, restaurants and après ski. Just underneath lies Plagne 1800, a cluster of chalets spread across a steep hillside. Higher up are Aime-la-Plagne, Plagne-Soleil and Plagne-Villages, all accessible via chairlifts from Plagne Centre. Plagne Bellecote rests over a l...
There are plenty of nursery slopes with access to free beginner lifts and a wide choice of different ski schools for those new to skiing. The slopes around the Belle Plagne area are particularly suitable for beginners. The blue run linking Les Bauches to Montchavin provides a manageable step up in difficulty from the nursery slopes. For those who class themselves as intermediate skiers, La Plagne is paradise. 77% of the runs are graded either blue or red. Particular favourites are the run from La Grand Roch...
It might not rival Val d'sere or Verbier for their wild party scenes, but this is an exceptional resort for unique après ski opportunities. Try snowmobiling at night, ice climbing in Champagny, husky sledding, paragliding, extreme tobogganing and more! One experience not to be missed is the bobsleigh track, used for Olympic training. There are various ways you can choose to go down it, but they are all guaranteed to give you a thrill as you will hurtle down at speeds ranging from 80 km/hr up to a lightening 120...
